2. Stefani Joanne Angelina Gemanottta, formally
known as her stage name Lady GaGa was born on
March 28 1986. She was born and raised in
Manhattan and first appeared in theatres when she
was young. She is a song written, musician and
actress.

3. Gaga released her debut album FAME in 2008, including her first single “Just Dance”
followed by “Poker Face”. In her first single we already see signs of her becoming and
potentially already being a star. She comes across very confident as her first video
shows a group of people within a house just waking up from a house party. She is
obviously the main focus as she is the only artist and the camera shows shots of her in
skimpy outfits dancing in the middle of the room.
Her second single Poker Face was also very confident as she emerges from the water
in a tight leather cat suit with two Great Danes. This is quite bizarre as we would not
expect two huge dogs just laying by the pool with her. Within both of these videos she
appears with a lightning bolt across her face. This is called iconography as this is what
we would associate her with.

4. Her single “Bad Romance” shows her again
doing very strange things for example she has
huge eyes and is dressed all in white with
messy hair in an all white room. Half way
through she changes into an all red outfit and
like the lightning bolt she makes a triangle
shape around her eye with her fingers,
resembling the bolt.

5. This song features Beyoncé who is the ultimate
diva. This brings Lady GaGa’s star image up
massively as although by now she is pretty famous,
she is no where near Beyoncé's level. Again, like
her previous music video’s, they are very different
and the costumes are unique. This makes us
remember Lady Gaga for the costumes she wears
and the things that she does.
