- 1. Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

- 4. We are meeting at a time of immense challenges to sustainable development.
- 5. Almost 15 years ago, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were agreed upon. Significant progress has been made in a number of areas.
- 6. But the progress has been uneven and some MDGs remain off-track, in particular those related to maternal, newborn and child health.
- 7. It is “we the peoples” who embark today on the road to 2030.
- 8. By 2030, reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100,000 live births. IMPROVE MATERNAL HEALTH
- 9. REDUCE NEONATAL MORTALITY By 2030, aim to reduce neonatal mortality to at least as low as 12 per 1,000 live births.
- 10. By 2030, aim to reduce under-5 mortality to at least as low as 25 per 1,000 live births. REDUCE UNDER-5 MORTALITY
- 11. By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non- communicable diseases through prevention and treatment. REDUCE PREMATURE MORTALITY
- 12. By 2030, ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including family planning. ENSURE UNIVERSAL ACCESS
