Horror films deal with the viewer's nightmares, hidden worst fears, and terror of the unknown. Although the majority of horror films areabout the supernatural, if some films contain a plot about serial killers, a disease or virus outbreak and surrealism, they may also be called "horror."
3. A bit about horror films! Horror is an ancient art form. People used to tell each other stories and tales passed down to attempt to terrify each other and horror films follow the same basis. The horror genre is nearly as old as film itself. The first "monster movies" were silent short films created by film pioneer Georges Melies in the late 1890s. The earliest horror-themed feature films were created in the early 1800s.
