1. Amber Rubarth- ‘Rough cut’
Initial ideas for music video:
My initial idea for Amber Rubath’s song is the idea of a woman taking drugs;
this can be clearly seen from the first two lines of the song ‘suddenly you’re
shaking with pain, shooting down inside of you’. From these two lines it gives a
sense of drug taking.
I think that me and my group should get one lady who looks like a drug addict
and use her walking through town singing the song and when it gets to the
chorus of the song ‘ladadadadadadada’ we could should people taking drugs
from all angles, for example, different ethnicities and social backgrounds and
this would be good as it points out the helplessness and imperfections of
today’s society with this song, and I think it will make people look and think
about the use o0f drugs and reason why they are taken.
In the verse that begins ‘you try to make your escape’, the lady is walking
around town thinking about all of the bad things that have happened in her life
she appears more drugged and more helpless. (Storyline of her getting
disowned as a teen and fighting for her life on the streets of London.)
2nd chorus; she takes more drugs to try and forget; she breaks out into a sweat
and falls. As she falls to the ground all of her memories come at her from all
angles.
She hits the ground and her eyes roll back, the last verse is sung and she
eventually dies of an overdose.
