When marketing nutritional supplements, companies can use a number of strategies to effectively present their goods to customers. Dr. C. Leigh Broadhurst, a natural products industry consultant, explains that concise and clear marketing statements build consumer confidence and ensure that buyers understand the product.
  3. 3. Marketing  Instead of being wordy and overly scientific, marketing collateral for nutritional supplements should capture only the concepts that are important to users. Along with economy of phrasing, Dr. Broadhurst asserts that informative and visually appealing packaging can be a powerful marketing tool. Familiar images and packaging foster brand recognition, make it easier for shoppers to locate a product on the shelves, and offer information about the merchandise. For example, a label could depict a tree surrounded by a simple map of Brazil for a product made of fruit extract from a tree that grows in Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest.
