2. Introduction
A pioneer in the herbal supplement industry, Kenneth
Brailsford is perhaps best known for his role in establishing
nationally recognized brands such as Nature’s Sunshine and
Zija International. As the founder and president of KEB
Enterprises, a holding company based in Utah, Kenneth
Brailsford also pursues investments in local businesses such
as Lehi Roller Mills.
Lehi Roller Mills has produced high-quality flours and baking
products for over a century, even earning a spot on the
National Historic Register in 1994. Since opening its doors in
1910, Lehi Roller Mills has been continually family owned and
operated for over four generations, with R. Sherman
Robinson (the great-grandson of founder George G.
Robinson) and his son, Alex Robinson, heading operations
today.
3. KEB Enterprises
Although it is one of fewer than 30 small-scale flour mills
producing less than 100,000 pounds a day, Lehi Roller Mills
has maintained its reputation as a preeminent flour mill
among national retailers and artisan bakeries for its
distinctive taste. Throughout the years, Lehi Roller Mills has
remained true to its roots as a local business by only working
with wheat farmers located within a 300-mile radius of its
facilities.
Racked by economic strains from the Great Recession, Lehi
Roller Mills faced Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2012 prior to its
acquisition by KEB Enterprises. Three years later, historic
Lehi Roller Mills has been revitalized and continues to
produce specialty flour products and distribute them
nationwide.
