1. How to get to Kennedy Creek Poll Dorset Stud
From the main street in Benalla (Bridge Street) turn south east onto Coster
St (this becomes Kilfeera Road) - this intersection is a roundabout and has
KFC, McDonalds, a motel and a Safeway petrol outlet on its corners. As
you leave town on Kilfeera Road you go past the hospital and then the aero-drome
on your left. Continue over the freeway over pass, and go past the
first left turn (Hilbricks Road). Take your next left (Kennedys Lane) and we
are the first house on the right (about 1.5 kilometres from the turn-off).

What’s happened in 2014?
 2014 has been a great year at Kennedy Creek with an excellent season and great performance in lambs, ewes and in the stud and flock rams for sale
 Our ewes have lambed down at almost 150% with weaning weights of June drop lambs as high as 59.5kg and an average close to 40kg (growth rates above 300 g/d across all sire groups). We will have close to 650 lambs to select from for the stud.
 We purchased Pepperton 398 last year for his meat quality characteristics and he has produced some very solid young ram lambs that will be available in 2015. Our home bred sires are the equal in performance of rams across Australia
 We continue to submit our highest performing (genotype/phenotype) ram lambs for SNP analysis so we can continue to make maximal progress in supplying you with optimal information and quality rams for your enterprise.
 This years average post weaning weight ASBV of sale rams is 13.6, 0.9kg more than the rams last year and well above terminal sire average. Each ram is weighed at birth, weaning, early post weaning, post weaning and at 12-15 months to give high accuracy growth figures. All rams are scrotal measured and are at least 28cm so you have confidence in the rams you are buying.
 Some very impressive stud & flock rams available from all sires with Cplus over 200 and Trade Index over 113 (Top 1% in Australia). Flock ram prices range from $500 to $1000 plus GST. Stud ram prices start at $1,500.
 Our JD status is MN3V. Some rams are now 4th generation vaccinates. We maintain a restriction on what sheep are brought onto our property. All rams continue to be brucellosis free, footrot free, rams are treated Zapp in August (though we have not had lice in our stud flock). Rams treated at shearing with 6 in 1 vaccine and mectin/white/ clear drench.

 Rams are available for sale from October 14th and as usual most rams will be sold on property by private sale. Give us a call to discuss your ram needs for this year. We have 129 rams available this year. Prices range from $500-$1000 plus GST.

Kennedy Creek 621/12
KC 621/12 is a great com- bination of ASBV and physical appearance. Great length, carcase and fertility with great Poll Dorset outlook. One of our highest weight gain rams with good ASBVs for meat quality as well. Semen is available in this ram along with a number of our other stud rams including KCPD 122/10.
