1. Do you have an experience with the broken
health care system?
www.aarp.org/fl
We want to make meaningful health reform a reality this
year. But we need your powerful stories to help us
support our call for better health care.
Have you had to go without expensive health insurance to pay for other
necessities? Have medical bills left you bankrupt? Has our health care
system made you even sicker? Have you lost your health insurance
because of the economic downturn? Are you having trouble purchasing
coverage, paying for medications, visiting doctors, or getting the care you
need? Have you had an experience that illustrates the need for better,
more comprehensive, and more affordable health coverage?
Tell us about your experience with the broken health care
system.
Stories about the experiences of people help make difficult and often
complex policy issues understandable to a broader group. Reporters
and policymakers find the stories useful to better illustrate the everyday
struggles that Americans face concerning their health care.
Join others who are sharing their stories about how these issues affect
our lives. AARP will work with you to help inform legislators, opinion
leaders, reporters, and millions of Floridians about the need for health
reform.
We won’t use your story without your permission. If you’re willing to
share your experiences, your story can make a difference.

2. Have you fallen into the doughnut hole?

We want to hear your story.
Are you or a loved one struggling with paying for prescription
drugs because you have fallen into the doughnut hole? AARP
Florida is interested in your personal experiences with the
prescription drug coverage gap.
Please support our efforts to make positive changes by helping
other people benefit from your experiences (good or bad) by
sharing one of your stories with us. You do not need to be an
AARP member to have something to say about this issue.
AARP has developed an easy-to-use online tool that shows Part
D enrollees if and when they’ll hit the doughnut hole and
suggests ways they can cut drug expenses to postpone the gap or
even avoid it altogether.
