How Did The Bp Oil Spill
British Petroleum also known as Anglo Persian Oil Company, and now known as BP. The company has experienced
many ups and downs in its past history, but BP became one of the largest energy companies. Over BP history has
experienced issues such as environmental damage, hazards that affected its works and issue due to business practices
(Thome, Ferrell, Ferrell, 2011). On April 20, 2010 the BP oil spill was the worst in U.S. history. There was a terrible
explosion and the sinking to the Deepwater Horizon oil rig. The explosion happened in the Gulf of Mexico killing 11
people (Urbina, 2010). At the time of the explosion BP was leasing the rig and 79 of the 126 employees on board the
rig. Many reports focused on safety of the rig was conducted. Two investigators were dispatched to conduct reports
on what happen that day on the rig. One report focused on safety culture they conducted one on one interview with
40 of the employees. The second report was on the status of the rig's equipment. One of the reports described the
concerns of the workers and who they felt about safety and fears. According to a spokesman for Transocean the 26
components on the rig that were said to be found in poor condition were actually minor, and that they had been
inspected in the correct time frame by the original manufacturer. It was found that BP's pipe was leaking oil and gas
onto the ocean floor. The leak was reported to be about 42 miles of the cost of Louisiana which was capped off

Summary Of A Classroom Of One
The article " A Classroom of One is a Community of Learners: Paradox, Artistic Pedagogical Technologies, and the
Invitational Online Classroom" shines a light on how students in an online classroom can experience the feeling of
being in a traditional classroom. Online learners often feel separated and alone and find themselves easily distracted
without a traditional teacher in front of them. To improve that problem the educators must develop an online
curriculum that encourages social interaction between the students and teachers causing them to build an online
relationship. This curricula must create and invitational classroom that prevents student isolation, lack of
accountability, and the perspective that the online learning environment

The Convergence Of MTV
Convergence is when a medium makes a leap in technology. For example, the song, "Video Killed the Radio Star,"
by The Buggles, was MTV's first music video aired by the network as part of their niche –– transcending what was
played on the radio to a new form of a medium; video. Even though the network MTV in its inception was not
successful at first, it changed the music industry from lyrics and melody to the visualization realm. This jump in
technology started off as an emergence; solving of technology to finding a tribal audience; young people. Even
though, MTV's main audience was towards a younger audience, there was something missing, they were not getting
the ratings they anticipated. Following MTV's emergence in the early 80s, towards

Verizon Wireless and AT&T Analysis
Imagine if nobody had a cellphone in today's world. That's why today everybody has some form of a cellphone
contract with the four major companies (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon or T–Mobile) or a less know cellphone provider.
AT&T and Verizon Wireless provide more than the other two major companies.
Yes, all the four provide cellphone service, but what makes AT&T and Verizon stand out is that they go the extra
mile in reaching every customer there is out there. If anybody does a google search and types in either AT&T or
Verizon the first thing that comes up in their website is what type of services they offer. Verizon offers wireless
service which means anything from the cellphones to the cellphone plans they provide. Residential service which ...

I met with nineteen individuals (listed below) and one group during my three–day visit. I was not able to meet with
two people due to a schedule a conflict and vacation. I met with three new people due to promotions or new
leadership assignments.
Based on ongoing discussions with the site leadership we are transitioning the coaching support to be focused on the
individual development plans (EPMP) of the coachee's. We will continue to rely on the ENGINE tools (Leadership
Self–Assessment, Basic Leadership Expectations, Basic Safety Expectations and The Eastman Advantage) as a
means of developing desired behaviors.

A Brief Note On The And Non Technical Lawyers
It is almost impossible to have all 15 lawyers in a room at the same time. The team will come up with a strategy to
meet with all 15 lawyers and get their inputs. An online form will be created to gather information from the lawyers.
A secure link will be emailed to the lawyers to be able to access the form. My team wants to know about the issues
they had in the past, how did they solve them, whom they contacted to solve the issues, and how the lawyers solve
technical problems with their equipment. In the scenario. There are two groups of lawyers. One group has some
technical skills and understands basic networking, and the other group does not understand anything about
technology. We had a meeting with the technical lawyers and collected data from them, then we had a meeting with
the non–technical lawyers to gather data from them. The non–technical lawyers do not comprehend technology, and
technical lawyers understand technology a bit better. The non–technical lawyers have less skills and need more
attention. We want to make sure the non–technical lawyers have the necessary knowledge to address issues. My
team welcomes open communication because it is a key to get more information. Moreover, my team will have one–
on–one meetings and group meetings with lawyers. One–on–one meetings encourage some lawyers to express
themselves freely and ask any questions they want. Perhaps in groups, non–technical lawyers might think the
question is too stupid to ask, and they will not ask

A Summary Of Collaboration For Organizations
There are many different collaboration tools that benefit a wide variety of organizations. Let's first discuss the
Electronic Bulletin Boards. These tools allow users to leave messages and/or read public messages that announce
upcoming events, new products, and changes in services as well as solutions to problems encountered using the
organization's products or services (Reynolds). Organizations use these tools within their websites to attract users
and increase the network traffic. The bulletin board is used to keep the visitors of the site up to date with the
organization's information. Another tool is a Blog. A blog is a web site where contributors provide ongoing
commentary on a particular subject. Some think of a blog as a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This allows for no down time and allows workers to return to work as soon as possible. One of the most popular
collaboration tools is Instant Messaging. This is where one computer is exchanging information, text, images or any
other pieces of information to another computer. Several people send messages through web–based IM applications.
Reynold's shared the statistics from Fall of 2014 on the eight most popular web–based IM applications. Application
Number of Users as of Fall 2014 WeChat 600 Million WhatsApp 590 Million WeChat/Weixin 438 Million Viber 400

applications allow customers to send messages or pictures to other devices without paying for a wireless phone or
text messaging fees. When looking for the best options for your company, remember to pay close attention to the
ability to work on Windows and Mac computers, laptops, Android and iPhone smartphones, as well as strong
encryption of messages, and the ability to make conference calls from the chosen application. IM (Instant
Messaging) is a one on one conversation where you are exchanging text, images and more. IM is less formal than
email and is used primarily when both parties are sending and receiving messages in real time. In addition to being a

Planning– –Primary teachers need to create engaging lessons which will hold students' interest and keep them
connected to the learning target. This being said, there should always be an end goal in mind prior to designing a
lesson (Backwards Design). Teachers should make sure they know the intended targets and expectations they want
students to comprehend. Teachers must also determine student needs prior to planning a lesson, so that differentiated
instruction can be given to those who need it – this isn't always just for lower level learners – it is just as important
to address those who might need extra work or more difficult assessment to stretch their capabilities. Teaching– It is

This includes making available the appropriate resources and technology in the classroom to aid in students grasping
and being interested in the curriculum. Another responsibility would be to make the curriculum entertaining and
involved for students. This could mean blending subjects and lessons through cross curricular learning. Math and Art
are two subjects that I try to introduce together as much as I can in primary grades, as it shows the "fun" side of
math. Assessment– Assessment should not just be post–lesson learning, it should be ONGOING, from before they
have learned, during, and afterwards. The teacher feautured in the webcast for this module made it evident that
properly displaying success criteria is vital to make sure students are aware of how they will be assessed. Receiving,
giving, and responding to feedback makes students confident learners who know how to move their learning
forward. This is a responsibility for the teacher to do for each student, and should also be encouraged for students to
do with one another. Personal and peer reflection and assessment is a great skill to introduce early in primary years
hopefully to be carried out in future years. Classroom Environment – One of the most vital responsinilites a teacher
has is celebrating student learning. Encouraging students to get involved in their own learning lets students have a
voice, and makes it clear that

and also conducting once a month face–to–face meetings. Slack is an app that allows you to organize your team

In addition to having online resources, there will also be a location on the main campus that acts as a face–to–face
resource to assist employees with the new procedures and help answer any questions they may have.
Through the process of the following organizational change, leadership is essential. With leadership, comes
communication, which in this case, is utilized to discuss potential problems and recommendations. "Leadership is
first and foremost a communication process, or set of processes. Every leadership behavior is enacted through
communication" (Witherspoon, 2004). Communication is necessary for Garden State University because there are
different campuses and divisions. There is a main campus, as well as a northern campus 45 miles away and a
southern campus located 60 miles away from the main campus. This makes communication difficult because it is not
always possible for every faculty member to be in the same place. There is also two major divisions within Garden
State University, this includes the Office of the Senior Vice President for academic Affairs and the Office of the
Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance. Academic deans and directors, as well as other academic,
student, and academic support functions report to the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The Sports And Entertainment Organization
As an Executive in the Monumental Sports and Entertainment organization, I have been tasked with the
responsibility to analyze the upcoming culmination of our broadcasting contract with CSN Mid–Atlantic. Currently,
we have a partnership with CSN for the broadcasts of the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games. The
Capitals contract is coming to an end after the 2016/2017 season and the Wizards contract is not until after the
2020/2021 season. With all the specifics of the current partnership in the favor of CSN's (Steinberg, 2014), our
organization has reached out with them to talk about restructuring our deal, but had no luck as of date.
Monumental Sports and Entertainment is an enterprise that showcases both sports organizations, the Verizon Center
venue along with multiple other ones. Monumental has also started a broadcasting network which is relatively new.
The Network utilizes the internet to distribute its content and provides fans with all news in DC sports. It currently
does not broadcast Wizards or Capitals games.
We have explored the option of broadcasting the games in–house and through Monumental Network. Majority
owner of Monumental and both teams, Ted Leonsis expects that "Monumental Network could one day broadcast
Caps and Wizards games, in addition to other local programming." Leonsis would like to wait until Monumental is a

Coffin, Urns, And Webcast Funerals By Edward Wong
Funerals, like all industries, are changing with the times. The fact that funerals can be referred to as an industry
shows just how much they have changed. At one time a funeral was a ritual that offered support to a community by
allowing them to fall back on beliefs. Funerals now are less impactful. A funeral today is deritualized and
rationalized. They are more of an obligation than a ritual for support. The article Coffin, Urns, and Webcast Funerals
by Edward Wong is a perfect example of the deritualization of funerals. It gives examples of how funerals have
become less interrupting and tragic. Just the idea of not having to physically be at a funeral to see it is
deritualization. The purpose of this isn't to add to the funeral for the

Pros And Cons Of Inclusion In Public Education
In the webcasts, titled Inclusion: "What does it mean and who is it for?" and "How do we make it meaningful?"
Cynthia Pitonyak who works with VCU–ACE and has been a special educator for over twenty years explains
inclusion beyond the typical way that it is prevalently used in the realm of public special education programs today.
She starts out in video one where she reviews the meaning of Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) and
how special educators are there to design an individual program to meet the needs of the disabled student in the
Least Restricted Environment in order to help the individual progress and grow. She states that inclusion is not the
law, and there is no mention of it in federal laws such as IDEA, No Child Left Behind, or in the, Every Student
Succeeds Act. However, she points out that because of FAPE, LRE, and the IEP which are all required by federal
law, inclusion, which is vitally important, happens. Ms. Pitonyak goes on to point out that inclusion is usually
broadly described as educating special needs students as much as possible in an environment with regular education
students; however, it is way more encompassing than that. She talks about how it is extremely important that
disabled students need to learn functional skills so that they can be able to fit into society and connect as best as they
can to take care of themselves and contribute to society in a meaningful way. This is what makes inclusion so
important in the lives of disabled

One purpose of religious organizations is to spread their core beliefs and to effect as many individuals as possible.
They achieve this goal through social involvement and activism. Some religious organizations involve themselves in
environmental interaction and activism as well. In Gainesville, there is Tibetan Buddhist meditation center called the
Gainesville Karma Thegsum Choling. The Gainesville Karma Thegsum Choling studies and practices Karma
Kagyu, one of the four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Some core beliefs and values found in Tibetan Buddhism
are spiritual growth, spiritual awakeness, and daily practice. Since the Gainesville Karma Thegsum Choling does not

founded in America; Although, the speakers also cover a few more points. The first guide dog school opened in the
United States was the All Seeing Eye; this school was opened in 1928 and is for both dogs and handlers. On behalf
of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 there are strict guidelines that allow service dogs in almost all

Don ruined his credibility by using to many over exaggerated and bias personal experiences; for example, he

minutes; then transitioned to talking about the ADA's guidelines and sharing his negative bias on certain businesses
such as airports. Don also did not share any history about guide dogs only information about the ADA and its
guidelines with businesses. Don also tends to change his tone when he is talking about a particular situation that he
is not fond of. Don has some strong points and is very knowledgeable about ADA policies, also Don is a handler and
has been to schools with his guide dogs and received first hand experience and training just like Jane. Dons has
many weak point showing too much bias, he never chose a topic to begin with, he uses too many personal

Stereotypes In The Film, Goon By Seann William Scott
Do you ever feel like everyone has a "thing"? That one thing, something they're good at? But you just can't seem to
find your thing? Then you share the same feeling with Doug Glatt, played by Seann William Scott has in the movie
Goon. All Dougs family and friends have their thing, his parents and brother are doctors, his best friend has a hockey
themed webcast he owns, but Doug has nothing but his job as a bouncer at the local bar. All that changes when a
hockey coach witnesses Doug in a fight, bashing some unfortunate souls face in, he quickly offers doug the
opportunity to play hockey as an enforcer claiming, "You've been touched by the fist of God for Christ's sake!" . An
enforcer is a player in hockey who is on the ice solely to protect the team's star players, they are "goons".
The movie takes you along with Doug on his journey to getting payed to play for a team in Massachusetts as an
enforcer for their star player Xavier Laflamme played by Marc–André Grondin. It's a long road for Doug

2.04 Journalism Career
2.04 First Draft by Chase Appleby
Nearly everybody has thought about writing as a career or a hobby, and it's simple when you really put the time into
it because these skills, like creativity are easy improving skills. Most successful journalists have great creativity and
writing skills, especially in the current age when journalists are actually writing award–winning novels, like John
Sandford, my father's favorite author and more famously Mark Twain.
Taylor Sampson interviewed Jay Welsh, current Florida Virtual School instructor in Journalism and seasoned
broadcast journalist to talk to him about the career of journalism. When asked what would all aspiring journalists
study and do before entering the profession he states "Number one is a great writing education. Very little is done
without a script, and you are responsible for writing that script." He also says to follow your passion "There is all
types of different fields (for journalism careers). Mine was sports. For others it might be politics, fashion, wild life."
He even says every aspect of life has a journalist path. "The last thing would have to be comfortable speaking.
You're going to be in front of people. It can be a bit egotistical if you like being the center of attention; because that's
what you are." ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Explain What Autonomy Is In Respect To Human Dignity
1. Explain what autonomy is in respect to human dignity.
Autonomy in respect to human dignity is the right to self–determination and it was used to be in medicine to
document all the decisions for the patients but that is not the case anymore. The patients now have the right to make
choices based on their own beliefs, their own values, and their own needs. As a respiratory therapist, we have to be
careful that we should not try to substitute our religious or cultural beliefs for someone who don't believe in
something; we have to remember the patients are in control. For instance, do not resuscitate orders in some culture
would be considered unacceptable; therefore, we have to do everything to prevent death. ... Show more content on

Some people say that healthcare is a business and we are responsible for paying for our own care and say that health
care pricing should be subject to free market forces as well. This mystery lies on personal responsibilities, for
example, people with bad habits such as smoking or overeating or speeding and riding their motorcycle without a
helmet, they should be charged more for health care because it is suspected that they are going to cost more in the
long run. https://www.aarc.org/webcasts/ethical–decision–making–in–respiratory–care–2/ 4. What is the ethical
dilemma in Case 1? What did you select when voting and why did you select that choice?
The ethical dilemma in case 1 is autonomy and non–maleficence. The physician writes an order for respiratory
therapy to turn off the ventilator and extubate the patient and what would you do in that case. I think I would carry
out the order because it was both the patient's and family's own decision. There was no evidence of cognitive
impairment, the patient was awake and alert as they took him out of the sedation and said that

different sporting events that occur at our school such as football, basketball, and volleyball through the NFHS

instruction, curriculum, professional development, and family outreach. I decided to watch Preschool for ELLs
because the topic is very dear to me as an elementary education teacher. The first video began with describing how
English Language Learners develop the language skills they needed to become successful readers. The speaker went
on to discuss the importance of Maslow's hierarchy of needs in English Language Learners, and how it's

I believe that a metacognitive reader is able to decode and ask questions about a text. Teachers can encourage
students to be metacognitive while reading by modeling, giving the students a question to answer while listening to a
text, or simply asking the students to predict the next event. There are several ways to encourage students to use
metacognitive thinking during reading. However, I believe that one of the most effective ways of sparking this form
of thinking is by giving the students the option to read texts that spark their interests. Allowing this "text freedom"
would motivate them to question what they are reading, and that is the essence of being a metacognitive reader.
2. How would you respond to critics who feel that class time is wasted with independent reading? My response to a
statement such as this would be that in the elementary grades it is NEEDED. What one may view as the children
wasting time is indispensable to the child's reading development. The best statement that defends this argument was
phrased flawlessly by famous teacher, author, and musical artist Dr. Jean.
"It looks like I'm playing, but I'm developing alphabet knowledge, oral language, print knowledge, listening skills,
eye–hand coordination, concepts about the world, and the desire to read."
If critics cannot understand the benefits of independent reading for young children, then they should consider other
areas of education to critique. The core of every moment in

The Effects Of Parental Involvement On Student 's...
A.
Share something that you learner from the webcast that was new to you. Then, talk about ways that you see yourself
using that information within your school setting.
The webcast was very informative. A few factors that were shared never crossed my mind as being influential in
regards to parental involvement. The webcast suggested that the student's attendance rate was greatly influenced by
the involvement of their parents in their educational process. However, this statement makes sense, but it's never
crossed my mind. The webcast also shared that a student's attitude towards their educational endeavors was also a
direct relationship with the degree of parental involvement in the student's education. Subsequently, the webcast also
shared that the more parental involvement the student has from their family; the chances of experiencing discipline
problems decrease. It's amazing how the involvement of the parents can cause a student to have such a positive
disposition towards their education. Parental involvement shows the students that the parents are serious regarding
their educational career; as a result it makes the student more accountable for their education.
The webcast also shed some light on the phrase "parental involvement. At first glance, most people simply think that
parents volunteering, sending in school supplies, attending PTA meeting, taking part in parent teacher conferences
sufficed as parental involvement. However, this is not the case at all. Parental

Some think that sports are good for children because they help with making friends and it helps they children with
school and their grades. But, others think that it is a bad thing for children some people say that it costs too much or
they don't want the risk of getting injured. This is an issue that needs to be solved. Should we let children play sports
or should they not.? Some sports put's too much pressure on some youths and injuries are at high risks to happen to
youths. One reason that sports are negative because a lot of pressure goes onto the children and most injuries happen
during some youth sports. In the article "Listening to Wisdom From a 10–Year Old Boy About his Head Injury"

seriously, if they have never had one before they would not know what if will feel like. It is clear that some sports
are good for youths but most sports aren't, since it causes injuries some most sports cause too much pressure. The
reason that the evidence and the claim are important because it explains what is the good and bad parts of sports.
Both sides are still taking about sports and what are the benefits and the disagreements are the benefits is that they

Comparison And Contrast Essay: The Scarlet Letter And Easy A
Compare and Contrast Analysis Essay In life, people constantly are inspired by others. Every action, creation,
thought, someone has will inevitably cause someone else to respond in way that reflects the previous occurrence. In
Easy A, Olive sees Hester as an archetype for how to handle guilt and shame. The similarities between Easy A and
The Scarlet Letter are easily recognizable, even by an amateur. Using the devices of character development, plot,
and theme, the creators of Easy A and The Scarlet Letter establish analogous story lines, however the impact of
differing elements applied through the devices resulted in unique narratives. The character development of Hester
and Olive in their respective stories is fairly similar. However, slight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the beginning of each story the main character finds themselves in the midst of a lie, public shame, and guilt.
Olive faces judgement from her peers after a false rumor about her spreads. Hester is on the scaffold being ridiculed
by the town for committing adultery. Although adultery is a two person crime, Hester stands only with the product of
her guilt. Like Hester, Olive is also lonely at this time, her closest friend turns from her and everyone else either
ridicules her or uses her. Later, in the Scarlet Letter it becomes very clear that, being amidst the lie as well,
Dimmesdale is facing physical and emotional health issues, "More than once, Mr. Dimmesdale had gone to the
pulpit, with a purpose never to come down its steps until he should have spoken... the black secret of his soul... it
was a wonder [the townspeople] did not see his wretched body shrivelled up before their eyes by the burning wrath
of the Almighty!" (Hawthorne 95). This quote shows how his shame is making him physically and figuratively
wither way. Likewise, in Easy A, Olive is suffering from her lies. Her spirit is crushed; her family and even school
staff see Olive's drastic change in her disposition. Finally, these characters realize they have to free themselves from
this type of life. Olive takes part in a pep rally in a seemingly–scandalous way to get everyone's attention. This
directs them to a webcast she created, she tells the viewers the truth about all the false rumors of scandals. The
ending scene show Olive gleefully enjoying time with a boy she actually cares about, proving she is free from her
guilt. Dimmesdale, like Olive, knows he must come clean to the town in order to stop his guilt. So, as Hester did
before, he stands on the scaffold with her and their child, Pearl. Dimmesdale confesses to the townspeople, "The sin

Henderson And Boswell Analysis
The need to make a work such as Fuente Ovejuna accessible to modern audiences is apparent in Boswell's non–
literal translation, done, according to the translator, to avoid a dry text (Stratford Festival). Boswell did not alter the
plot or the time period: the rant about printing presses in Act f, Scene f remained as such, and Mengo's song in Act
II, Scene V, was thematically constant as the comic relief, in which the gracioso ridicules poets by comparing them
to pastry chefs (de Vega 37, 60). However, the language was what evolved to be appropriate and entertaining for a

Essay on Resources for Differentiated Instruction
Introduction
As described by Hall, Strangman, & Meyer (2011), differentiated instruction [DI] allows teachers to build flexibility
into their approach and understanding in adapting curriculum to the needs of the student, instead of requiring
students to apply modifications they may be ill–equipped to complete (p. 2). In the alternative classroom, with a
majority of students ELLs, teachers can adapt DI to set lesson and curriculum goals through a range of instructional
and management strategies to engage students through curiosity, promote understanding, and clarify understanding
to incorporate learning in the classroom (Laureate Education, Inc., 2010a; Laureate Education, Inc., 2010b). As a

general keyboarding skills' improvement is TypingWeb at http://www.typingweb.com. Accounts on free, and I have
set up a classroom portal that monitors progress and shows student improvement.
One resource that I can use to plan for lessons differentiated by learning profiles in the Media Literacy classroom is
using software included with the computers. Our school purchased 25 Apple iMac computers and we are all learning
how to adapt the software programs we were using with the PCs and make them work through the Apple
environment. We stayed with the Microsoft Office for Mac and even though the programs are somewhat compatible,
redirecting interest to a new software environment means letting students discover the passion in what works for
them, and then passing the information on through PowerPoint and other software application presentations.
Even though we develop lessons and classroom activities using differentiated instruction, as Tomlinson (2005)
emphasizes, it is not necessary to separate the categories in planning or instruction according to readiness, interest,
and learning profile, (p. 58). I would invite my

Benchmarking is simply the process of comparing a company's performance, productivity, cost and quality of a

Kkbg In America Summary
Spies: The Rise and Fall of the KGB in America is a book written by John Earl Haynes. the book goes into very
specific detail of the activity of the KGB in the United States during the 1930's and 1940's. This book which was
written with the KGB archives formed the most complete source of soviet espionage in America. Co–author of the
book Alexander Vassiliev was given access to stalin era records and material of Soviet espionage activity against the
United States. Haynes also presented a webcast for this book through the Library of Congress. In the Webcast
Haynes spoke about the background information of his book Spies. Haynes also explained the different sources he
used to write the book, and the validity of those sources. Watching the webcast I learned the importance of having
multiple primary sources when writing a book about history. Not only are primary sources important, but being able
to connect those primary sources to one another proves the information is valid. Haynes did a wonderful job
explaining the connections between sources he used to write Spies, which turned out to be most of his presentation.

Summary Of A Classroom Of One The article " A Classroom of One is a Community of Learners: Paradox, Artistic Pedagogical Technologies, and the Invitational Online Classroom" shines a light on how students in an online classroom can experience the feeling of being in a traditional classroom. Online learners often feel separated and alone and find themselves easily distracted without a traditional teacher in front of them. To improve that problem the educators must develop an online curriculum that encourages social interaction between the students and teachers causing them to build an online relationship. This curricula must create and invitational classroom that prevents student isolation, lack of accountability, and the perspective that the online learning environment ... For example, the song, "Video Killed the Radio Star," by The Buggles, was MTV's first music video aired by the network as part of their niche –– transcending what was played on the radio to a new form of a medium; video. Even though the network MTV in its inception was not successful at first, it changed the music industry from lyrics and melody to the visualization realm. This jump in technology started off as an emergence; solving of technology to finding a tribal audience; young people. The team will come up with a strategy to meet with all 15 lawyers and get their inputs. An online form will be created to gather information from the lawyers. A secure link will be emailed to the lawyers to be able to access the form. My team wants to know about the issues they had in the past, how did they solve them, whom they contacted to solve the issues, and how the lawyers solve technical problems with their equipment. In the scenario. There are two groups of lawyers. One group has some technical skills and understands basic networking, and the other group does not understand anything about technology. We had a meeting with the technical lawyers and collected data from them, then we had a meeting with the non–technical lawyers to gather data from them. The non–technical lawyers do not comprehend technology, and technical lawyers understand technology a bit better. The non–technical lawyers have less skills and need more attention. We want to make sure the non–technical lawyers have the necessary knowledge to address issues. My team welcomes open communication because it is a key to get more information. Moreover, my team will have one– on–one meetings and group meetings with lawyers. One–on–one meetings encourage some lawyers to express themselves freely and ask any questions they want. Planning– –Primary teachers need to create engaging lessons which will hold students' interest and keep them connected to the learning target. This being said, there should always be an end goal in mind prior to designing a lesson (Backwards Design). Teachers should make sure they know the intended targets and expectations they want students to comprehend. Teachers must also determine student needs prior to planning a lesson, so that differentiated instruction can be given to those who need it – this isn't always just for lower level learners – it is just as important to address those who might need extra work or more difficult assessment to stretch their capabilities. The teacher feautured in the webcast for this module made it evident that properly displaying success criteria is vital to make sure students are aware of how they will be assessed. Receiving, giving, and responding to feedback makes students confident learners who know how to move their learning forward. This is a responsibility for the teacher to do for each student, and should also be encouraged for students to do with one another. Personal and peer reflection and assessment is a great skill to introduce early in primary years hopefully to be carried out in future years. The Capitals contract is coming to an end after the 2016/2017 season and the Wizards contract is not until after the 2020/2021 season. Cynthia Pitonyak who works with VCU–ACE and has been a special educator for over twenty years explains inclusion beyond the typical way that it is prevalently used in the realm of public special education programs today. She starts out in video one where she reviews the meaning of Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) and how special educators are there to design an individual program to meet the needs of the disabled student in the Least Restricted Environment in order to help the individual progress and grow. She states that inclusion is not the law, and there is no mention of it in federal laws such as IDEA, No Child Left Behind, or in the, Every Student Succeeds Act. However, she points out that because of FAPE, LRE, and the IEP which are all required by federal law, inclusion, which is vitally important, happens. Ms. Pitonyak goes on to point out that inclusion is usually broadly described as educating special needs students as much as possible in an environment with regular education students; however, it is way more encompassing than that. She talks about how it is extremely important that disabled students need to learn functional skills so that they can be able to fit into society and connect as best as they can to take care of themselves and contribute to society in a meaningful way. This webcast is about the history of guide dogs and how they were founded in America; Although, the speakers also cover a few more points. The first guide dog school opened in the United States was the All Seeing Eye; this school was opened in 1928 and is for both dogs and handlers. On behalf of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 there are strict guidelines that allow service dogs in almost all businesses in America. Both speakers in this webcast are members and ... Don ruined his credibility by using to many over exaggerated and bias personal experiences; for example, he complains about a personal experience where one man would not stop trying to talk to his guide dog. In Don's speech he started with the birth of guide dogs and their very first training and talked about this for the first five minutes; then transitioned to talking about the ADA's guidelines and sharing his negative bias on certain businesses such as airports. Don also did not share any history about guide dogs only information about the ADA and its guidelines with businesses. Don also tends to change his tone when he is talking about a particular situation that he is not fond of. Don has some strong points and is very knowledgeable about ADA policies, also Don is a handler and has been to schools with his guide dogs and received first hand experience and training just like Jane. Dons has many weak point showing too much bias, he never chose a topic to begin with, he uses too many personal experiences, and Don does not express a positive and mutual attitude throughout his entire speech. Teachers can encourage students to be metacognitive while reading by modeling, giving the students a question to answer while listening to a text, or simply asking the students to predict the next event. There are several ways to encourage students to use metacognitive thinking during reading. However, I believe that one of the most effective ways of sparking this form of thinking is by giving the students the option to read texts that spark their interests. Allowing this "text freedom" would motivate them to question what they are reading, and that is the essence of being a metacognitive reader. 2. The webcast suggested that the student's attendance rate was greatly influenced by the involvement of their parents in their educational process. The webcast also shared that a student's attitude towards their educational endeavors was also a direct relationship with the degree of parental involvement in the student's education. It's amazing how the involvement of the parents can cause a student to have such a positive disposition towards their education.
