the Author
Professor Arup Kumar Kundu has been working as an internist for more than 30 years and
is renowned for his sharp clinical acumen, analytical approach and clarity of expression
towards solving differentproblems in internal medicine. He is vibrant and innovative in his
field, and is famous for his academic achievements with ranks and distinctions, clinical
skills and exemplary multifaceted personality. Dr. Kundu, an astute clinician and a
dedicated, popular and most sought-after teacher (master teacher), has been teaching
medicine to students, both UGs and PGs, and has been an examiner for UGs and PGs in
different Indian universities. He is well-known all over the country for his proficiency as an
illustrious teacher in medicine. Dr. Kundu, abrilliant academician, aresearcher and an avid
medical writer, has authored five more indispensable books in medicine. He is agifted
orator and has been invited as speaker/facuty in different State and National conferences.
He has taken part in International symposia/seminars, and is credited with more than 120
