Leadership qualities of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose
1. SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE (COURAGEOUS)
1. Netaji was a patriot of patriots. He formed India’s first armed force Azad Hind Fauj also known
as the Indian National Army to fight against the atrocities of the Britishers and to attain
complete independence.
2. He was able to inspire thousands of Indians through his excellent oratory skills and his famous
slogan "Give me blood, I will give you freedom" and thus aroused the patriotic feelings among
masses.
3. Netaji’s esteemed influence and visionary thoughts forced Britishers to put him under house
arrest in 1940.
4. He was a great diplomat too, he made the enemy's enemy his friend and consolidated his
position. e.g He took the help of Japan to organize INA.
5. INA under Bose was a model of diversity by region, ethnicity, religion, and even gender
consisting of around 60,000 soldiers.
6. Including female soldiers in the army at that time was equivalent to setting an example of
giving equal opportunity to all.
7. It would have been easier for a person to follow the path of non-violence by Gandhi Ji instead
of taking the road less traveled i.e; violence to gain independence.
8. It was near to impossible to think of any Indian at that time trying to collaborate with Adolf
Hitler, but as Netaji was extremely courageous, he made this possible.
9. Netaji once the president of the Indian National Congress left his position of the presidency
as his thoughts conflicted with Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts.
10. He chose not to go with the dominion status of Indian and aimed for completed independence
through war.
11. Once we had to escape from India, he continued his struggle for India’s independence shows
his dedication and “Never Say No” attitude.
