1. Clan Societies
● A Clan Society is a club for people with an interest in their
clan. It is not the same as the clan, which includes everyone
with that surname.
●In modern society,clan societies have been set up,to
preserve the name and traditions of that clans
heritage,provide information on the history and genealogy of
the clan and to allow people to find others than belong to that
particular clan.
●
●This practice is quite popular in America,with regular
gatherings of clan members,an example being the
Armstrong’s clan,based around the south of America,in states
such as Ohio and Virginia.
