If you like adventure, action, mystery,
           and cats like I do…

    YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!

(and despite the title, this is NOT a
        vampire love story!)
A fantasy story
    Written by: Erin Hunter
Cover Art by: Wayne McLoughlin
       Presented by: Eric
Author
•“Erin Hunter” is a pseudonym (made-up name)
used by four authors Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry,
Tui Sutherland, and editor Victoria Holmes. Each
of the authors plays a different role in writing the
Warriors stories. They came up with one name so
readers wouldn’t be confused by different
authors.
•Two of the authors like dogs better than cats!
•Erin’s writing is inspired by the forces of nature.
•She likes to write about animal behavior
in mythical ways.
•She is also the author of the books in
the “Survivors” and “Seekers” series.
Setting:
Where: In a fantasy world called “The
Lake” near a lake with mountains,
woodland and moor surrounding it. This
story starts in the mountains.
Different clans live in different areas and
have their own specialties.

When: The story takes place in the
present. It begins in the evening in late
summer because the cats talk about “leaf-
fall” coming.
Characters
There are three main characters
this story:

Hollypaw: She is the thinker, the concerned
one, she always puts the warrior code first.
Lionpaw: He is the hunter, the fighter,
guided by the brave and strong Tigerstar.
Jaypaw: He is the blind cat who can walk into other cats’ dreams.

All three are young cats with useful strengths. These
strengths are different in each cat. Lionpaw and Hollypaw
are littermates and all of them are den-mates and really
close friends.
Problem of the Story
In this story, three apprentices named Jaypaw,
Hollypaw, and Lionpaw learn that there is a
prophecy about them. A mysterious cat tells them
that there will be eternal darkness. Then, somehow,
WindClan crosses their territory and starts a battle!
Meanwhile, during the battle, the sun vanishes!
When all the cats go back to camp, the sun
reappears, and Jaypaw, Hollypaw, and Lionpaw want
to know why…
I like that this book has a lot of
       adventure and action.

I would not change a thing about
           this book.

A person like me, who loves cats,
action, and mystery, would think
      this book is purr-fect!
After you read this book, you’ll
never look at your cat the same
        way ever again!
