Useful Information 
Payments – for lunches, clubs…. 
To be placed into an envelope and given in during 
registration

PE – EVERY Monday and Wednesday 
Black Shorts, White T Shirt, Grey Tracksuit, 
Clean Socks, Trainers or Pumps

Reading – 10 mins EVERY night, please record all reading in your reading diaries and use the targets at the front of your reading diary to 
extend comprehensional skills 
Show and Tell – Mondays

answer your classmates questions! 
Spelling and Handwriting – Spellings will be sent home every Tuesday. Please copy each spelling 5 times, taking care to form and join your 
letters correctly. Hand your book in on Monday morning and the spelling of these words will be tested on Monday also. 
Maths Sheets – Will be handed out on Tuesdays, complete the worksheet and hand it in on Monday morning. 
Learning Logs - You will be given a choice of projects to do, please choose at least one and present your work on a double page in your 
learning log. Please refer to the guidance given in the front of your learning log. Please return your learning log before Friday 18th October.

Our topic is Splendid Skies 
Imagine floating high above the land and sea on a bed of clouds, silently 
sweeping by on a billowing breeze. 
Back down to earth, let’s take a walk outdoors. But what should we wear? 
Wellington boots?, A sun hat? Maybe a warm coat? How do we know what the 
weather will be like today? 
Read and write poems and postcards… and if you don’t like today’s weather 
report, why not write your own?
