1. To understand Pure in Heart

3. Pure defined
• Pure - (Katharos in Gk.) to be clean, blameless,
unstained from guilt.
• The word can refer specifically to that which is
purified by fire or by pruning.
• Malachi 3:2-3 & 1 Pet. 1…turn with me please…
• Jesus describes his disciples as vines and He is the
branch. Branches must be pruned to produce the
maximum amount of fruit. (Jn. 15:1-17)

4. Pure
• Psalm 24:3-4 Who shall ascend into the hill of the
LORD? or who shall stand in His holy place?
• He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who
hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn
deceitfully.
• He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and
righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5. Pure
• Hebrews 12:14 …turn with me please…
• 1 John 3:2 …turn with me please…
• Revelation 22:4 …turn with me please…

6. Pure in heart
• Being pure in heart means having a true
commitment to GOD.
• A pure heart has no hypocrisy, deceit, no hidden
m/o. Pure in heart is open and honest.
• This is not just an external thing but an internal
thing!
