2. My class
• I have a fourth grade class with twenty students.
• 12 girls, 8 boys- one student with a mild form of Autism.
3. Objectives
• My students will learn the different ways to take care of their teeth
and gums, how often they should go to the dentist and what the
dentist is for, the different names of teeth and how many teeth a
person should have by watching videos, hands on activities, and
group projects/ presentations with a 90% accuracy at the end of this
unit.
4. Day by Day Breakdown
• Day one: Names of the teeth and how many teeth everyone has in
their mouth.
• Day two: How to take care of your teeth and gums,(Floss, brushing
your teeth, mouth wash), what food is good and isn’t good for your
teeth using videos and hands-on activities.
• Day three: the dentist. What a dentist does, what to expect at the
dentist.
• Day four: What braces are, what they are for, how to take care of
braces.
• Day five: Group presentations, Jeopardy quiz game.
