Assignment 4: Greene Decorating Co. Training Budget Report
Training 1: Safety
This training will cost the company one thousand five hundred dollars. There
are three different safety trainings, one for the carpenters, one for the truck drivers
and one for the forklift operators. To create each of the trainings will cost the
company five hundred dollars each, which equals one thousand five hundred total.
This is an online training and the employees are given one week to pass all of the
modules. Each module has a reading as well as video. After the employee reads the
information and watches the video they will have to pass a test in each module. They
are only given two chances to pass this test.

Training 2a: Truck Driver Training
The cost of training the truck drivers will be one hundred fifty dollars. This
training will be for one day and a total of eight hours. The training will take place at
one of the company’s warehouses, which is no cost to the company. The truck
drivers will be given a booklet that they have to read over before they come to
training. Then they will do hands-on training. There are thirty truck drivers and the
booklets are five dollars a piece, this comes out to one hundred fifty dollars. Other
3. materials include trailers, trucks, and freight. The company owns all of this so this
will not be of any cost to the company either. The trainers are also employed by the
company, meaning that they are of no additional cost to the company.

Training 2b: Forklift Operator Training (Includes Truck Drivers)
The cost of this training for both the truck drivers and fork lift operators will
be one hundred fifty dollars. This is a one day training for eight hours. They will
have a booklet to review before they come to training and it is two dollars and fifty
cents per booklet. There are thirty truck drivers and thirty forklift operators, a total
of sixty people, which brings the total of the booklets to one hundred fifty dollars.
After the employees read the booklets they will undergo training at one of the
company’s warehouses. Their training is hands on as well. Other materials include,
freight, forklifts, and trailers. All of these materials the company already owns so
they are of no additional cost.

Training 3: Carpenters Training
The carpenter training will not be of any cost to the company. The training is
a forty-hour training broken down into five eight hour days. The training will be
held at the company’s headquarters therefore the space will not cost us anything.
4. The training will also be conducted by employees of the company who will already
be on the clock, which means that the trainers will not cost us anything either. The
carpenters will be shown a Power Point presentation, which will be created by one
of our employees. It will be shown on a projector in a classroom, which we already
own for new employee trainings. The employees will also be taken through an
action-based training as well as hands-on training. We have the components to set
up for this training because we have to train new employees, so this will not cost us
either. Each employee is expected to have their own set of tools for work and they
should bring them to the training as well. Overall this training is at no cost to the
company.
Overall Cost
The cost of all of the trainings together will be one thousand eight hundred
dollars. The safety trainings come out to one thousand five hundred dollars and the
forklift operator training and truck driver training comes out to one hundred fifty
dollars each.
