Text; John 6; 4-13
4 Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews,
was near. 5 Then Jesus lifted up His eyes,
and seeing a great multitude coming toward
Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy
bread, that these may eat?” 6 But this He
said to test him, for He Himself knew what He
would do.
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii
worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that
every one of them may have a little.”

8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s
brother, said to Him, 9 “There is a lad here
who has five barley loaves and two small fish,
but what are they among so many?” 10 Then
Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now
there was much grass in the place. So the men
sat down, in number about five
thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves, and
when He had given thanks He
distributed them to the disciples, and the
disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of
the fish, as much as they wanted.

 12 So when they were filled, He said to
His disciples, “Gather up the fragments
that remain, so that nothing is
lost.” 13 Therefore they
gathered them up, and filled twelve
baskets with the fragments of the five
barley loaves which were left over by
those who had eaten.

6. Source (Basis) of our
Involvement!
 I; Negative basis
 VV 35 When the day was now far spent, His
disciples came to Him and said, “This is a
deserted place, and already the
hour is late. 36 Send them away, that they
may go into the surrounding country and villages
and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing
to eat.”
 The disciple was pushing Jesus to send
away the crowed, they do not want to get
involve in be part of the success of those
gatherings!

7.  Comfortable- after hearing the
message, no more!
 Dependent on Jesus- they don’t look
their means, Resources and their
Potentials! Jesus wants cooperation here!
 Part of God- I will multiply the food
 Parts of the disciples- just give me
your five loaves and two fishes!

8.  II; Positive basis
 You must know the needs
 I; Food- V 5…He said to Philip, “Where shall we
buy bread, that these may eat?”
 II; Money- V 7 Philip answered Him, “Two
hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient
for them, that every one of them may have a little.”
 III; Time and Place- Matthew 14:15 As evening
approached, the disciples came to him and said,
"This is a remote place, and it's already getting
late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the
villages and buy themselves some food."

9. Persons Involve!
 I; Philip- V7 involve but his focus was not on Jesus
but towards the Problems!
 II; Andrew- VV 8-9 he introduce the Boy but he has
doubt, V9 “There is a lad here who has five barley
loaves and two small fish, but what are they among
so many?”
 III; The small boy- give his five loaves and two
fishes.
 this speaks to us, when we make our
part, no matter how big or small it can
create a big impact!

10. Effect
 The five loaves and the two fishes
was able to feed the five
thousands of People!
 This shows to us, no matter how
big or small our investment to
God, He will use that
miraculously!
 Just Release it,,,, Give it to God!

11. Application
 Past involvement- increase
it!
Present involvement-
maintain it!
Future involvement- strive
for it!
