2. Text: Proverbs 2:1-5
My son, if you receive my words, And
treasure my commands within you, 2 So that
you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply
your heart to understanding; 3 Yes, if you cry
out for discernment, And lift up your voice
for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of
the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.
3. Theme: ways to find knowledge of God!
Introduction
In the Old Testament there are two kinds of
people were living!
A: Those who are living in a pagan world
Never think that there is God
Follow their own standards of life.
4. Their story was forgotten
B: Those who are living under the kingship
of the almighty God!
Obeyed Him and served Him with their
entire family!
Their story and their examples were
repeatedly told thousands of years until
today!

Trying to Look Younger
A middle-aged woman has a heart attack
and leaves her body in a "near death
experience." She sees a bright light and a
voice says, "It's not your time to go. You
still have another 30 years to live.”
Immediately she goes back into her body and
lives again.
6. The woman decides she has a new reason
to live, so she schedules major cosmetic
surgery: a face-lift, liposuction, and tummy-tuck.
She dyes her hair to cover up her gray,
making her look 10 years younger. The next
day when she crosses the street, she is hit by
a speeding car. She dies again, leaves her
body, and sees the bright light.
7. "Hey, what happened?" she complains. "I
thought you said I had another 30 years?"
The voice says, "I’m sorry, but I didn't
recognize you."
What lesson we can get from this story?
A: God has given us a enough time, wisdom,
complete bodies and opportunity to re-arrange
our lives fitted to live in His
kingdom!
8. B: Do not Change, whatever circumstances
nor situation or occasions will come! Stay
they same!
Quotation says!
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not
what ships are for. In they same manner, life
meant not to stay in our comfort zone but to
go out and face every challenge in life and be
a blessings to those who are in need!

9. What shall we do to find Wisdom?
My son, if you receive my words, And
treasure my commands within 2 15 16
you, So
that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If
you seek her as silver, And search for her
as for hidden treasures;
10. My Son- Speaks of Relationship
V 1 My son, if you receive my words, And
treasure my commands within you,
We must establish first our relationship to
God. The Wisdom of Solomon was not come
to him instantly, the fact is, God give his
wisdom after his prayers.
11. 1: as God our spiritual father, he is in charge
to hold us though the world will turn upside
down!
2: as God our spiritual father, he is in charge
to fill our cup in times of emptiness!
3: as God our spiritual father, he is in charge
to give peace in times of storm!
12. “IF”- Conditional , Doubt
V1 My son, if you receive my words, And
treasure my commands within you,
The wisdom, heaven, salvation and the love
of God is not forcefully demanded to us but
it’s a gift given by our almighty God.
13. Different kinds of people in every group
• A: encourager
• B; Performer
• C: Thinker
• D: Blocker
Evaluate your selves today, in what groups
are you belong? Do you have doubt; do not
pass it to your group?
14. Treasure- Choose above all things
• My son, if you receive my words, And
treasure my commands within you,

A lighthouse along a bleak coast was tended
by a keeper who was given enough oil for
one month and told to keep the light burning
15. every night. One day a woman asked for oil
so that her children could stay warm. Then a
farmer came. His son needed oil for a lamp
so he could read. Still another needed some
for an engine. The keeper saw each as a
worthy request and measured out just
enough oil to satisfy all. Near the end of the
month, the tank in the lighthouse ran dry.
That night the beacon was dark and three
ships crashed on the rocks. More than 100
lives were lost.
16. When a government official investigated,
the man explained what he had done and
why. "You were given one task alone,"
insisted the official. "It was to keep the light
burning. Everything else was secondary.
There is no defense."
What lessons we can learn from this
story?
17. A: we must know our priorities and choose
them beyond others!
B: we must stick to our task and not
entertain temptation!
Fruits when we will find the wisdom of
God!
• 7 He stores up sound wisdom for the
upright; He is a shield to those who walk
18. uprightly; 8 He guards the paths of
justice, And preserves the way of His
saints. 9 Then you will understand
righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path. 10 When
wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge
is pleasant to your soul,
