Chapter 2 Project: If you Advertise, They Will Buy
Detailed Scoring Rubric à 55 points total
Activities 1, 2, and 3 à 35 points
   • 1 point for each ad à 5 points for all the ads
   • 3 points for accurately written conditional statement and its truth value à 15 points total
            o 1 point will be taken off if the truth value is not listed
            o 1 point will be taken off if the statement is hard to understand
   • 3 points for converse statement and its truth value à 15 points total
            o 1 point will be taken off if the truth value is not listed or a counterexample is not
                listed with a false truth value
            o 1 point will be taken off if the statement is hard to understand


Activity 4 à 5 points total
   • 1 point for the title/name of the product or service
   • 1 point for the definition using precise terminology
   • 1 point for the definition being clear/understandable
   • 1 point for not being able to find a counterexample to your definition
   • 1 point for including a specific example of your product


Finishing the Project à 10 points
   • 1 point for creativity
   • 1 point for including a picture/visual aid (if completing a radio ad, you do not need a
       visual aid)
   • 2 points for the advertisement to be understandable and use correct grammar
   • 3 points for writing the conditional and truth value
           o 1 point will be taken off if the truth value is not listed
           o 1 point will be taken off if the statement is hard to understand
   • 3 points for writing the converse and truth value
           o 1 point will be taken off if the truth value is not listed
           o 1 point will be taken off if the statement is hard to understand


Other Points à 5 points
   • The project must be typed à 2 points
          o 12 point font
          o Times New Roman
          o 1 inch margins
   • The layout must be easy to follow à 3 points
          o Either organize it by each ad, or by each activity
   • 3 points will be taken off for each day it is late
