 Shift planning module helps you to plan your workforce
requirements quickly and accurately.
 You can plan your shifts according to your requirements taking
into consideration all criteria, including absences due to leave or
sickness, and employee requests for time off.
 Shift planning keeps you informed at all times of any staff excess
or deficit.
 Another advantage of shift planning is that it enables you to
temporarily assign an employee or employees to another
organizational unit where they are needed, allowing for a
temporary change of cost centre.

 Shift planning requirements include:

 The aim of the shift planning process is to assign available employees to open personnel
requirements.
 If the planning process is based on requirements, emphasis is placed on the number of
employees required to fulfill the task, rather than on the working time involved.
 For this reason, you need to create a requirement record, which will specify how many
employees are to be assigned to a particular shift, as well as the qualifications they require.
 You then assign any suitable available employees to a requirement

You use Shift Planning to specify:

 In Shift Planning, you can react to instances when you expect to fall short of the
recommended number of employees, such as in the case of leave or further
education, as well as to unexpected instances, such as in the case of illness or urgent
family matters.
 You can also schedule and display available duties in shift plans

 During the planning process, shift planners must be able to refer to any statutory rules
governing working time and the payment of employees.
 As shift planning is integrates with time recording, time evaluation and/ or personnel
development, shift planners can display a variety of information in the shift plan such as:
 Planned working time
 Productive hours
 Absence quotas
 Shift location
 Qualifications
