2. This project PRESENTS a system to be developed to have a
database of all vehicles entering the university to parking lanes
and leaving university.
By this security threats, accidents and jams in the university lanes
in the compound will be minimized and under control with more
sophisticated gadgets..
Vehicle entering,Parking, and leaving the University will be
control with reason's above.
It will have user interface and system interface to communicate
with the management.
The whole University fraternity will benefit most in this system of
incremental process based model.
3. PROJECT PURPOSE:
The main project purpose is to create a system to
register, clear and forwarding of vehicles data's
online within and kibabii University.
4. Problem statement.
Currently the used system of the University security personel and parking site
is not of secure to university fraternity in that no system registration of
vehicles and security record of vehicles that enter and leave the university.
The parking site is not organized in that no coding of vehicle entrance and
parking lane.
Also the gadgets used are not that sophisticated compared to the security
threats in the current terror attacks sagas.
Therefore, it calls for more alerts in persons life being careful and aware of
surrounding.
5. Problem justification.
Due to the above stated sentiments as University state of operation, with
inner ego have decided to come up with a digital system that will cub up all
the weaknesses of the current system operating in our University.
Whereby all vehicles entering the University compound and leaving will
have their data entered in a created database system in the gate. They will
be coded numbers to the parking lanes and drivers given directions on
driving in and out of the University compound.
Vehicle scanning and weight scanning will be done automatically on
connected system on the entrance gate underground bars and stored in the
database system.
6. Objectives:
The system objectives are:
To control vehicle entrance.
To control vehicle parking in lane.
To control vehicles movement directions.
Control changing in parking.
7. cont.
Objectives:
The Developers objectives are;
1. To design the interface module.(the Font-end)
2. Design the database module.(Back-end)
3. To cause link to the user interface module to his/her
back-end module.
4. Produce end results of the system objectives stated
above in system specification.
8. System requirements.
PC with minimum speed of 1.70GHZ
At least 512 MB RAM and
5GB space on hard disk.
Flash disk of at least 16GB.
A sufficient and reliable network.
A sufficient and reliable Current/power.
A durable and reliable Fiber optic cables.
Software Requirements
Windows based Operating System
Editors Adobe Dreamweaver
Browser Mozilla Firefox
DBMS
Wampserver (MySQL)
Tools
MySQL, Html, PHP, CSS
9. Non-functional requirements:
The system will be able to:
Provide security within University scope.
Be reliable.
Perform tasks quickly.
Be sufficient.
For the functional requirements:
The system shall be able to allow the manager and user to:
• Enter data.
• confirm entered data.
• Store data.
• Compose data.
• Send data.
10. Cont.
Beneficiaries;
This system will be to of important to the University security
personnel, administrations, visitors and students (non resident).the
system also will help the University fraternity to keep clear and
advanced records on parking vehicles and ensure full control of the
exercise.
For this the university will be able to save some costs on accidents
along parking sites, injuries of persons and terror attacks costs.
The administration, students and the security personnel will have
knowledge on this and be able to manage skills on driving to parking
and checking on vehicles from the entrance respectively.
11. Cont.
Methodology;
Way of approach to create the system will be incremental process
model, because the phases in round relation are divided into easily
manageable smaller modules of which each relates to other for a
definite outcome via their design, implementation and trial.
Each subsequence on use of the module adds at least a function(s)
to the subsequent release or discovery(s).
