moves, the female doesn't have enough power to say 'no'. Guilt trips or ridicule can be used to
entice the victim to submit. Many women are brought up to believe that if they do not "give in", that
they are teasing the man or that if they do give in, they will be with the man forever. Unfortunately
our society does not always hold a man responsible for the obvious consequences of such actions.
Too frequently young women become further victimized by becoming single parents without the
moral or financial support of men. One of the saddest things about sexual harassment is that men and

I ended up listening to Back Seat Rider and the podcast that was called, "A Question About Men."
I am really interested in the way people are talking about sexual harassment cases and I recently
just did my Communication Theory artifact paper about the recent incidents where individuals
have been speaking up. I think Anthony does a good job asking questions that the audience wants

The web has also helped with people being able to listen to podcast similar to this one. I think the
web will forever be there so that people can stream their favorite radio stations, podcast, or anything
else they want to listen to and cannot be in the area at the time.
Chapter 13 was another article that relates closely to the idea of this podcast and radio streaming. It
starts by talking about high quality audio. This plays out in the podcast, because I was streaming it
on my computer and the audio quality was very good and I enjoyed the way it sounded through my
speakers. Connection speeds can typically mess with the quality of audio that individuals hear when
they are streaming podcast or radio stations based on the internet connection they have or the
services that apply with the stations you are listening to. With the podcast being an online stream, it
was different than listening to a radio station, but I enjoyed how the stream was quality and how it
sounded the way they want it to sound for the people who are listening.
Back Seat Rider: A Question About Men was an interesting podcast that connected these chapters
about the web and how radios are streamed online. The connection did not seem evident at first, but
it was easy to understand that the podcast is something that is streamed online. It was also

III. Regarding Employers
Prevention is the best tool to eliminate sexual harassment in the workplace. Employers should take
all steps necessary to prevent sexual harassment from occurring. An effective prevention program
should include an explicit policy against sexual harassment that is clearly posted for the employees
to read and be included in any in–service training programs. I heard on the news last week that a
company was being sued even though they had a sexual harassment policy. The complainant didn't
feel that the company did enough to assert the policy. Theemployer should also have a procedure for
resolving sexual harassment complaints. This procedure should encourage victims to come forward
and should not require the victim to complain first to the offending supervisor, if that is the case.
This procedure should ensure confidentiality as much as possible and provide effective remedies as
well as protection from retaliation.

I would like to share a couple of statistics that Dr. Chwialkowski gave out in my other Public
Administration class last week. He found a survey that asked women how many of them had slept

Over the last decade the number of grievance filed with EEOC has gradually decreased. For
example, in 1997 approximately 16,000 complaints of sexual harassment were filed. Last year, the
number of complaints dropped to 11,717 which 16.4% of charges were filed by men (Sexual

Reflection Paper On Sexual Harassment
The entire company, except the interns, had a company–wide meeting about the issue and sexual
assault/harassment within the company. This included the LA office in a video conference and they
discussed everything and reiterated how this behavior is not tolerated. Company heads made sure
everyone was doing alright and if they had experienced something like this while in the company,
plus how to address it. The company's official statement to press was that they have a zero–tolerance
policy against sexual harassment and misconduct and were deeply horrified by the allegations made.
Obviously, in light of the allegation, Primary Wave lost some of their film and television clients,
primarily actors. I honestly think that Primary Wave has handled the issue really well in–house, the
higher–ups have made sure all employees are okay and if the situation had triggered anyone. They
have put an emphasis on the well–being of their employees instead of just the loss of clients. They
are making sure something like this will not happen again and that this is not currently happening in
any way. Work has been normal for interns even after all this unraveled. As mentioned, I was one of
the publishing and management interns so I had a lot of research work. Weekly I would look into
potential artists to add to the company's repertoire. There were no set requirements for these artists
other than being unsigned or unpublished and once this was learned I would conduct more research
