What makes a good teacher? Essay
In my opinion, a good teacher should be one who puts her heart into teaching. This is because
only by doing so will the students feel their passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard
for the students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to
classes in a bad mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy
lessons as well.
Another point that makes a good teacher would be his/her patience. Teachers should not get upset or
even worse, give up on the students who are not so strong in their studies. Instead, they should have
the patience to slowly coach them, give them extra lessons, and find different ways to encourage
them. Let them know that the teacher...show more content...
It would be better if the teacher is able to find common topics to chat with the students. This would
let the students feel like they can relate better to the teacher.
"You must not give up. I want to let you know that even if you're facing so many problems, and
feel like there's no one to talk to, I'll be here for you. Everyone else might want to be the sun that
lights up your life, but I rather be the moon that guides you through your darkest hours. Let's strive
hard and work toward our goal together!" This was what my high school teacher told me 10 years
ago and I have remembered it until now, and will remember it for the next 10 years and so on.
I was once a problematic kid who mixed with bad company and flunk tests. I never thought about
what I was going to do the next day, what more when I grew up. Of course when I was younger, I
had lots of dreams. I wanted to set up my own company, I wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to be
able to drive an airplane and the list went on. But as the years went by, they became less
insignificant to me and soon, I forgot every single one of those dreams and goals. I got to a new
school and knew friends who smoke and took drugs. My grades started dropping from "A" to fails.
But I did not care. I could not be bothered by then. I went partying every night and got home drunk.
What was the point of studying? My parents are

The Memories Of My Life Essay
Time Appreciation
Life is meant to be filled with memories. Every time that I close my eyes and I let my mind be
free, my head starts to be full of different images, people place, events; experiences that have left a
mark in my life. Sometimes those memories are classified as happy , but other times happens that
those memories kill us slowly because they are filled with sadness. Despite making us sad, they
have a great value to us. I do not usually like talking about this part of my memories. People would
start thinking that I am weak, because even if I do not want to, my eyes burst into tears when I
remember those memories.
I will share the two most bitter memories in my life with you. I do not want to show that I am weak,
but those memories have helped me grow up and understand the value of life, love and people who
surround me. Unfortunately, I understood it only when I lost those people.
The first memory takes me back in time six or seven years before, I do not know. It was the
twenty–first of September. I was in seventh grade and too young to know the value of life and love
that you gain from people around you. For almost one year, I and my brother had been living with
my aunt because her husband died and her children were not in Albania anymore. In the last
months, she started to feel sick and every day her health was going south. I remember that at the
end of July I went back to my home because she went to the hospital. It had been the longest August
of my life.

Essay on The Meaning of Life
The Meaning of Life
My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from
which one can draw meaning, if indeed such meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there
can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. What I have learned
above all is that trying to put words to the meaning of life is a task of absolute absurdity. This is not
to be confused with the idea that life has no meaning, for life certainly has meaning. However, there
is no single meaning of life to be defined – life is different for us all. Therefore, rather than define
life for an entire planet, I shall try to explain what life means as I perceive it, and why it means so.

Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story – or
great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the end goal or outcome of life that gives life
meaning but rather the quality of the story, the quality with which one lives out and develops his or
her role."
At the time, this event seemed rather insignificant and did not merit remembrance. However, its
catastrophic effects on my attitude that evening may have helped to mold me into the person I have
become. I learned that suffering through such an event, as childish as it was, is quite necessary in
any life. Such pains are part of an interminable cycle and only generate balance in one's life (p. 62,
'Life as Suffering'). Despite my horrid time spent that evening, the laughter brought since the incident
is a worthy tradeoff. Laughter is an all too necessary function of life, just as suffering and the wide
range of other emotions. "Some thinkers would emphasize the importance of sophistication in
humor, but others would say that laughter itself is what is important." Whatever the case may be,
laughter is an important ingredient in life, and must not be taken for granted nor ignored.
Despite such emotional ties to life, I have also learned that life is not only about emotions. Those
emotions are generated from the chain reactions created endlessly in

Essay about the human brain
In this paper one will learn the different parts of the brain and their functions. Although the brain isn't
the largest organ of the human body it is the most complex and controlling organ. It is amazing how
complicated the brain is. The brain controls every action within and out of your body. The brain has
main areas that contain different areas that have specific functions. For instance the basal ganglia
holds the lentiform and the caudate.
The brain isn't just "THE BRAIN" it is actually a group of many parts. They help to inform the brain
on the things going on with the human body. The brain is split in to two main parts, the left and the
right hemisphere. The left hemisphere has about the same areas as the right hemisphere. The only

The corpus callosum is a bundle of nerves that connects the two hemispheres. The area that passes
and processes information concerning touch, pain, temperature, and pressure on skin is the
thalamus. The limbic system controls your behavior and emotions. It is involved in emotions such
as fear, rage, pleasure, and sorrow. In the prefrontal area of the frontal lobe emotional traits are
controlled. In the temporal lobe expressed behavior is controlled. The parietal lobe discriminates
sensory. The occipital lobe is where visual interpretation takes place. Pons is a crossroad for nerves
going up to the cortex, to the cerebellum and then down the spinal cord. The cortex is the outer gray
area where thinking takes place. The olfactory cortex receives senses from the nose that it then sorts
out. The area that identifies what we see by working out movements, colors, and shapes is the visual
cortex. The area that receives taste senses is called gustatory cortex. The area responsible for
analyzing data, performing memory functions, learning new information, forming thoughts, and
making decisions is the cerebral cortex. The motor cortex is involved in muscle movement. The
cerebellum is vital when carrying out complicated, skilled movements. It is much like a mini brain.
If before you read this paper you thought the brain was a "one man machine" I'm sure your opinion
has changed after reading his paper. It is amazing how god has created the brain to have so many
areas

Essay about My Business Idea
My Business Idea
In my coursework I intend to start my own business. I will devise my own business plan which
outlines my business proposal and the key aspects, during this I will need to seek good business
advice on the necessary steps I will have to make. As I go through the coursework I will show
evidence, examples and explain how businesses are set up, what types of businesses there are and
their similarities, the kind of targets businesses set for themselves and also the different objectives of
different stakeholders. For my business I plan to sell toys and other game products that educate
young children under the age of 11.
Starting up a business is difficult and risky. Anyone setting up needs to consider:

Finance
=======
No businesses can be set up without finance. Most people who start their own business
underestimate the amount of money they will need to set up. They are often UNCAPITALISED
and this causes problems as the business expands. Some businesses have the potential to be highly
profitable but fail because they run out of cash at a crucial early stage in the life of the business. So
it is very important to work out how much money is needed to start the business and to identify
where the money will come from.
Identifying the sources of help
===============================
Most new businesses don not survive for more than three years of trading. However, their chance of
success is much greater if those setting up the business have received help from experts before the
launch. Many new businesses turn to Business Link or to their local
TEC. They can identify any grants, loans or benefits that are available from government or from
bodies like the Prince's Trust. They can also organise training in setting up small businesses that is
so often vital to the survival of the business.

Short Essays in The Great Cat Massacre by Darnton
The Great Cat Massacre
Although the title of this book strikes the reader as unusual it begins to make complete sense once
it is read. This book is a series of short essays by Darnton. The second section, which is titled
"Workers Revolt: The great Cat Massacre of the Rue Saint–SГ©rverin" brings the reader directly
into the views of the working class during the 1700s in France. This style of writing allows
situations to be viewed through the lens of those who are experiencing it, making for a more
interesting read. The context of this portion of the book truly gives an in depth account of the
emotions and conditions that peasants would meet with while being treated as inferior to even the
animals by the masters. It can be said that Darnton included this portion of the book to show the
customs of the French during this time as well as to be able to see the way that the working class
lived. From the reading the working class was the base of society, doing the work for the noblemen
and everyday citizens. In this section it involves a particular situation with two men that are
apprentices in a noble house. Apprentices would learn their way into a position of a trade and gain
their success this way. Unfortunately, theapprenticeship "program" was not the most enjoyable
experience. These men were not allowed to sit at a table for meals, they had to sleep in freezing
rooms that were dirty and horrid, and were forced to eat the food scraps that even the cats rejected.

Therapy Essay
Therapy
Today many people seek professional therapy or counseling for a limited amount of time in order
to deal with different life crises. Others seek professional help for the majority of their lives in
order to deal with a psychological disorder. After reading this chapter on Therapy, I learned that this
was not always the case, and that the way our society views therapy, and the meaning of therapy, has
changed dramatically of the years. This chapter not only explains the evolution of therapy, it explores
the different therapeutic approaches.
I found chapter thirteen to be very interesting. Learning about the different types of therapy was very
helpful. I chose to write about...show more content...
Trephining was the most disturbing picture. I am still amazed that people thought that anything
whatsoever could be solved by chiseling away at a person's head. The picture of the skull was
extremely disturbing: I cannot even fathom how horrible it would have been to be a patient of such
practices. Also one would think that after the first gaping hole in a person's head with no results, the
chiseling would stop. However it is obvious by the number of holes in the skull that this was a
procedure that was tried multiple times on one patient. Other than the trephined skull, I also found it
unusual that bloodletting was such a common practice. It was particularly troubling to learn that it
was used for treating mania, which is something I have experienced.
All of the information on the different types of therapies has helped me to more fully understand
psychology. This chapter is dedicated to explaining the current methods of treating people with
psychological disorders in order to help them through a rough time in life. This chapter on therapy
shows the side of psychology that is the result of the hard work of a multitude of psychologists and
doctors.
Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, which entitles me to long hours of therapy
to help me understand and deal with my illness. Although I

Scary Story I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and
the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided
that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it
seemed like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. I
was very had to even take a breath due to the stifling air. The only sound familiar to me was the
quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I

whistle. I took a big gulp and decided to step on it and quicken my pace. I would never get home
at this rate. The same moment I decided to quicken my speed, a deer burst through the night. I
screamed, stumbled and hit the ground with a loud thump. I sat on the moist ground for a
moment to try to recover but my heart began to throb as if it was beating within my throat. It was
just a deer I told myself, I had to be brave. Trying to get myself together I began to feel this hot puffs
of air on the back of my neck. "It's the goblin!" I screamed as I rapidly rose to my feet. My head
spun like an owl as I went to look for what was behind me. I looked to the ground and discovered a
little white dog. "You scared me to death little guy. What is a cute little puppy like you doing in a
dense forest like this?" I said to him. I was relieved it was only a dog instead of the ghastly goblin,
but I only made it half–way home by then. As I proceeded on the white little dog followed me. I felt
more at ease now that I had him following me but he would not be considered much of a watch dog

Essay about Behavior
Behavior–
Behave, it its root form, means to contain or to have. In the reflective sense, it means 'to have bear
oneself'. To use the word behave in common conversation, it is understood as to 'behave well'. As for
the phrase 'to behave badly', it is understood immediately.
Behavior is looked at in society as the way a person presents him or herself in a given situation. It is
also related to the specialized sense of manners. Use of the noun to refer to public conduct or, in a
moral sense, to a general range of activities is still quite common.
But the term is also used in relation to plants, lower organisms and animals to describe the apparent
activity of the whole organism.
One particular meaning followed from the extension of the...show more content...
Different stages of bourgeois society led to different stages of the capitalist mode of economic
production. It is often difficult to separate the meaning of bourgeois from the meaning used to
describe historically distinct periods and phrases of social and cultural development. The bourgeois
ideology of settled independent citizens is clearly not the same as the bourgeois ideology of the
highly mobile agents of a para–national corporation. There are also some problems between
bourgeois and capitalist, which are often used interchangeably but which are primarily
distinguishable as social and economic terms.
There can be difficulties of usage, associated with some of the most intense controversies of
analysis, when the same word is used for the whole society in which one class is dominate and for a
specific class within that whole society.
Bureaucracy–
Definition– the word Bureaucracy originated in English in the middle of the 1900's. The word
bureau had its meaning of a writing desk with drawers. The American use of Bureaucracy has
become more common, especially with references to foreign branches. As the word bureaucracy
evolved, many different meanings have been taken to affect.
The increasing scale of commercial organization, with a corresponding increase in government
intervention and legal controls, and with the increasing importance of organized and professional
central government, produced the political facts to which the new term pointed.

My Day With My Family
I believe that I feel the most comfortable when I am home with my family. Any activity we do
together is amazing. Whether it's watching a movie together, having dinner, or having something
to talk about. There is always a time of the day where we just have a good laugh about something
that happened throughout the day. I know my family will always be there for me and I will do
the same for them. I believe that I am blessed to have such a loving, caring, and compassionate
family. I believe when times are tough, my family is my true comfort. Even if it's the smallest
thing like a headache or stomachache I feel better with just my mom doing anything for me to
feel better. I don't need medicine to heal the smallest pains; all I need is my family's love. I've
never looked at another family and thought, "wow they have an amazing relationship, i am
jealous". Sometimes I do the opposite because I never had thought wrong about my family even
when we're aggravated sometimes. I remember during the summer we would have a cookout
every single Saturday and Sunday. We would all get together and have my dads "special asadas".
Which are a special steak well done with allot of lime and spices. We would sit there for hours eating
and having a beer. We would call close friends that we even call family. I believe there is no perfect
life or perfect family. I believe my family will overcome anything that causes pain or misery. I
believe that we are in full control of our own wellness, both

Minecraft Essay
Minecraft is a game where the player uses their imagination to shape the world around them using
the resources they find. In the world everything is shaped like a block or a cube, this includes the
trees, the dirt, the water, the clouds, even the sun, everything. This simple game hasn't even been
released yet but has already sold over one million copies. Minecraft was created by one man,
Markus "Notch" Persson, and this is his story. What makes the story of Minecraft so unique is that
it was created by Notch and only Notch. Notch had a job before Minecraft, working on games for a

The game sells around 10,000 copies per day. It has become a cultural phenomenon and on
January 12, 2011 sales passed the one million mark, but they continued to rise. With popularity
increasing, big name comics like "Penny Arcade" and "Hejibits" discovered the game too and
published comic strips about minecraft, leading to even further sales. Minecraft makes $250,000
a day and continues to do so. On June 13, 2011, Minecraft passed 2.5 million sales. Today Mojang
has 10 employees. Markus Persson, Jens Bergensten, Daniel Kaplan, Junkboy, Jakob Porser, Carl
Manneh, Tobias Mollstam, Aron Neiminen, Daniel Frisk, and Daniel Rosenfeld. These few
people make up the team that continues to work towards Minecraft's future. But with so few
employees things take time. Even though the game has not been officially released, people who
buy the game get a copy of what it is right now as the updates are being pushed out. With such
success Mojang is the target of some heavy criticism from blogs, critics, and even their own fans.
One speculation from fans is that Minecraft will be the company's 1 hit wonder. What happens if it
truly is a one hit wonder? Will the company go down under? Will it be the end of Mojang? Will
they join a publisher in order to stay afloat and lose their title of "indie?" Another speculation
concerns Mojang's next game that has absolutely nothing to do with Minecraft, not even in the same
genre. What if nobody likes the game? What

Compare and Contrast Two Short Stories
Compare and Contrast Two Short Stories––
Landlady by Roald Dahl and Chemistry by Graham Swift
There are lots of great short stories out there, but in my opinion, both 'Chemistry' by Graham Swift
and 'The Landlady' by Roald Dahl are two of the most unique and effective stories. They share both
similarities and differences throughout. Comparing and contrasting the way the authors use their
inimitable writing style to achieve their intentions in the story will give us more idea how these
stories are alike and distinct.
In a way, these two stories are similar because both the authors had carefully chosen the words

In the beginning , Billy thought the landlady was 'terribly nice',which he was quite grateful to have
such a nice landlady who give him a well–appointed service, but as the conversations go on, Billy
was then frightened by her weird and creepy contents, he 'sat there staring straight ahead of him into
the far corner of the room, biting his lower lip.' tells the readers that he's begin to frightened and
suspect landlady, foreshadowing the readers that she might be doing something that couldn't be
trusted by Billy.
In another way, these two stories are different because the authors have been using different
perspective when narrating the story. In 'Chemistry', author's written the story in the word of narrator,
mixing both the perspective of adult and young boy's. Line" My father's death was a far less
remote event than my grandfather's but no more explicable, I was only seven." can be a good
example. Almost the whole story was written in past tense, added to the effect of recalling. He's
shown a grown up man recalling memories when he was back in 7–10 years old. This kind of
writing style makes readers felt more personal, because the subject is 'I', when reading out the
story, readers will feel like they're experiencing the narrators' life, as if they are the narrator. Also,
another interesting fact about this kind of writing style is that if I were to look at the same events in
other character's perspective, it might be another whole different story because

How to Be A Good Student Essay
How to Be A Good Student
To become a success in life, we all need to learn to become a good student in every aspect of life.
Becoming a good student takes much work and self–discipline. There are many ways that a student
can stand out from the rest of the class. These good students are distinguished by their attitude,
intellectual skills, consciousness, and achievement.
Attitude is primarily a genuine desire to learn and the will to do hard academic work to achieve
understanding. It is also shown by how well you apply yourself even to subjects in which you have
little interest and how much you can achieve even when a teacher's style is not what you are used to.
Also attitude can change the way you percieveperceive things...show more content...
No one else can help you to attain a good attitude, you must decide and make it a goal to have a
good attitude in your student life. (CS)
Intellectual skills is (S–V Agr) another important aspect of becoming a good student. This skill
includes the ability to read and understand, intelligent use of resources, mathematical and logical
skills, efficient study habits, and the ability to communicate clearly and fluently. Intellectual skills
include time management, exam strategies, study strategies, and goal setting.
Consciousness, or awareness, is another helpful aspect of becoming a good student. The good
student must be aware of their (agr) surroundings and know what is going on in the world around
them. We must strive to relate what is happening around us to what we are learning. This should be
important to us because we should care about what is going on politically, academically, socially,
and spiritually. Being aware and paying attention is a good trait to continually learn and apply.
Achievement is demonstrated by successful application of understanding. This aspect includes using
correct and confident knowledge, effective communication, and continuanceing of education through
out your life. Achievement gives you a sense of accomplishment and meaning. To become a good
student, this must be a goal that you wish to accomplish.
Becoming a good student can be time consuming but well worth

My Greatest Fear
My greatest fear is something that I ponder almost every night. I have a fear of several things:
snakes, suffocating and the thought of being murdered. Nevertheless, these fears don't affect me
like this one. The one that I consider to be my greatest resembles a sickness, something I haven't
made sense of how to manage. The scariest part about it is I don't have an answer on how to face this
fear.
The fear of failure is the thing that I consider to be my greatest in life. I can say that all the goals
I've set in my life and hope to achieve are due to this fear. It might be a helpful reason, but these
milestones are accompanied by an increasing stress in my mental health. As the years have gone on
and as I have started to move forward with my education, starting with high school, the weight has
just mounted and the fear of failing has just expanded. The amount of time and effort it would take
me to complete assignments and prepare for exams would have me thinking if I'll ever amount to
anything. If it took me a little bit more time to comprehend something, I would think to myself "if
it's taking this long for me to get something so simple, what will I do when I'm in college." The work
I was putting in wasn't proportionate to the results being produced. I was doing well, but in my
eyes, it didn't feel like enough. The constant reminders from my family didn't help either. My
parents and older brother have always told me to work hard and that it won't be easy to make a good

The Most Memorable Meal Essay
The Most Memorable Meal
As a food lover and adventurous eater, I've certainly eaten so many kinds of food from many
countries around the world. And I have a lot of good and bad moments related to food. However,
when you ask me about the most memorable meal that I have eaten in my life, perhaps the first thing
that appears in my mind is my daddy's soup.
It was 10 years ago, when I was just a little boy. At that time, my mom had so much work at her
office and she just couldn't come back home until 9 p.m. In my family, my mom was the only one
who could prepare food and cook. So when she called my dad and said that she couldn't come back

The soup was not as delicious as it looked, it tasted so weird: at first, I felt it so salty, after a while,
it tasted so spicy. After tasting the first sip, I looked at my dad and smiled. He just thought that he
was successful with his soup until he tried his first sip. Then he knew how his soup was and he
said "Sorry son, I tried my best, maybe we can wait for mom to come back home and cook dinner
for us." As soon as he finished speaking, I took the spoon, continued eating the soup and smiled. I
know the soup was not good, but it was from my dad, from all his love for me. I don't know if my
dad knew what I was thinking or not, or maybe he thought that I was so hungry to eat everything
even though it tasted too bad. My dad was so surprised about my act for a while, and he continued
to eat the soup with me. We both had a great time together, eating and talking with each other
about bad things, good things at work and school. After that, my mom finally came home. She
looked so tired from her work, but she still smiled and looked at me and my dad while both of us
were eating soup. She surely knew my dad made something for me and she slowly went forward to
the table and started tasting the soup. After her tasting, not a single word, she hugged both of us

Greatest Invention Essays
What is the greatest invention of all time?
Throughout time there have been lots of new inventions which have both hindered and helped
everyday life with humans. There are many different possible world's greatest inventions because
they have all helped out humankind in some way, some more than others.
I think that the greatest invention of all time is Harnessed Electricity. Some may argue that this was
not an invention it was a discovery but although electricity itself was a discovery there was still the
invention of had to use it and what it could be used for. I think that electricity is very important to

I believe that the use of electricity in healthcare is more important than the use of penicillin because
of the x–rays, MRI scans, life support machines, cat scans, ultrasound, surgery lighting, heart rate
monitors, incubators and loads of other much needed specialist equipment. This equipment has
over the years helped to save millions of lives and although penicillin helps to treat the odd few
illnesses it doesn't help to run a well equipped hospital which saves even more lives with the billions
of people who visit a hospital every year.
Without electricity there would be no light and it would constantly be dark from around 4pm ever
day. This would restrict most people from doing things because as soon as it was dark they would
have to go to bed because there would be no lighting. Nobody could go out after dark as there
would be no street lights on the roads and houses would have to be lit by candle light which
wouldn't give of the strength of light that a light bulb does now. Yet again it would be exactly like
living in the dark ages.

My Best Day Essay : My Perfect Day
Have you ever wondered what a perfect day would be like? An everyday routine starts to get
annoying and boring, especially if you don't get a day off. At the moment, my routine is to wake
up early, get ready for school, go to school, and after a long day come back home. From the time I
get home which is around two in the afternoon and by the time I go to sleep, it all consists of doing
homework. Sometimes I wish I can at least take a day off and relax, with having no worries. The
idea of a perfect day for me should be a day to get rid of stress, and should be an unforgettable day.
As the sun started to come out, I knew it was time to start my day. The perfect day that I've always
dreamed of was going to be today. I looked at my...show more content...
In the meantime, while I was waiting for my food to get here I went to the kitchen to wash the
dishes that I left in the morning. After my food got delivered I went back into my bed and started
eating my orange chicken with rice. By that time, I was already in the fourth movie, all of a
sudden it was really dark outside, but I was not scared at all, even though I was home alone. Now
it was around ten at night and I had finished watching the Halloween series. I turned my tv off and
started playing really loud music on my speaker. I knew it was nighttime and the neighbors might
complain, but at the moment I didn't care about anything. I enjoy listening to depressing songs
specially from Coldplay which gets me in the mood to cry. My eyes began to close so I turned my
speaker off as well as the light and I went to sleep. At last, a perfect day for me should be different
from any ordinary day, and should enjoy it like as if it was my last. I see a perfect day as not
something outstanding, but more of like a lazy day. This day was one of the best days I've ever had
because it's been forever since I've taken a break. Many people might do something like this on a
regular day, but for me it was one of the days where I got to stay in bed, relax, and let all of the stress
out. Days like this doesn't hurt and everyone has their own ideal day, but for me is all about being
comfortable. As long as, I have a day off

Homemade Food Is The Best Choice
Cooking and eating is always fun, especially homemade food. Food is one of the primary
necessities of humans and also plays a vital role in maintaining good health. People work hard to
eat; it does not matter if it is healthy or not, but healthy eating prevents a variety of health problems.
For some people eating is an option, but for others they live to eat. People enjoy cooking their own
meals; it gives us peace of mind, satisfaction, and a guarantee of cleanliness. Homemade food is
always treated as a privilege, especially with our hectic life schedules. Now a days, people seldom
cook at home and find a good reason to go out and eat. There are many different choices when it
comes to food, but homemade food is the best choice...show more content...
They all love homemade food instead of fast food because they say it is delicious. Talking with
people who cook at home, most stated that they make fresh ingredients at home, like grind and
powder all seasonings and curries, so it gives the best flavor, taste, and smell. According to
British Broad Casting, The World Health Organization recommends greatly reducing the intake
of processed foods, because it is not freshly made and people do not know how long it is been in
the freezer or what all ingredients in it (World). Eating at our own kitchen table allow us to eat
more fresh fruits and vegetables so we can focus on all natural ingredients. Most of the people
who cook at home have their own kitchen garden also, so all the vegetables are fresh and organic.
This gives us a great satisfaction and peace of mind that it is fresh cooked meals from our own
garden to the table. The second reason to eat homemade food is that it helps to improve our health.
Before the wide spread availability of fast food restaurants, people always cooked their meals at
home; because of this, they were healthier and lived longer. There were not so many diseases like
myocardial infarction, diabetes, or hypertension; it is so popular now due to not controlling their diet
or eating out all the time. These disease conditions not only affect our health but it also affects our
economy. Unfortunately, many young adults or their

  • 1. What makes a good teacher? Essay In my opinion, a good teacher should be one who puts her heart into teaching. This is because only by doing so will the students feel their passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard for the students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to classes in a bad mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy lessons as well. Another point that makes a good teacher would be his/her patience. Teachers should not get upset or even worse, give up on the students who are not so strong in their studies. Instead, they should have the patience to slowly coach them, give them extra lessons, and find different ways to encourage them. Let them know that the teacher...show more content... It would be better if the teacher is able to find common topics to chat with the students. This would let the students feel like they can relate better to the teacher. "You must not give up. I want to let you know that even if you're facing so many problems, and feel like there's no one to talk to, I'll be here for you. Everyone else might want to be the sun that lights up your life, but I rather be the moon that guides you through your darkest hours. Let's strive hard and work toward our goal together!" This was what my high school teacher told me 10 years ago and I have remembered it until now, and will remember it for the next 10 years and so on. I was once a problematic kid who mixed with bad company and flunk tests. I never thought about what I was going to do the next day, what more when I grew up. Of course when I was younger, I had lots of dreams. I wanted to set up my own company, I wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to be able to drive an airplane and the list went on. But as the years went by, they became less insignificant to me and soon, I forgot every single one of those dreams and goals. I got to a new school and knew friends who smoke and took drugs. My grades started dropping from "A" to fails. But I did not care. I could not be bothered by then. I went partying every night and got home drunk. What was the point of studying? • 2. The Memories Of My Life Essay Time Appreciation Life is meant to be filled with memories. Every time that I close my eyes and I let my mind be free, my head starts to be full of different images, people place, events; experiences that have left a mark in my life. Sometimes those memories are classified as happy , but other times happens that those memories kill us slowly because they are filled with sadness. Despite making us sad, they have a great value to us. I do not usually like talking about this part of my memories. People would start thinking that I am weak, because even if I do not want to, my eyes burst into tears when I remember those memories. I will share the two most bitter memories in my life with you. I do not want to show that I am weak, but those memories have helped me grow up and understand the value of life, love and people who surround me. Unfortunately, I understood it only when I lost those people. The first memory takes me back in time six or seven years before, I do not know. It was the twenty–first of September. I was in seventh grade and too young to know the value of life and love that you gain from people around you. For almost one year, I and my brother had been living with my aunt because her husband died and her children were not in Albania anymore. In the last months, she started to feel sick and every day her health was going south. I remember that at the end of July I went back to my home because she went to the hospital. It had been the longest August of my life. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay on The Meaning of Life The Meaning of Life My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from which one can draw meaning, if indeed such meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. What I have learned above all is that trying to put words to the meaning of life is a task of absolute absurdity. This is not to be confused with the idea that life has no meaning, for life certainly has meaning. However, there is no single meaning of life to be defined – life is different for us all. Therefore, rather than define life for an entire planet, I shall try to explain what life means as I perceive it, and why it means so. ...show more content... Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story – or great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the end goal or outcome of life that gives life meaning but rather the quality of the story, the quality with which one lives out and develops his or her role." At the time, this event seemed rather insignificant and did not merit remembrance. However, its catastrophic effects on my attitude that evening may have helped to mold me into the person I have become. I learned that suffering through such an event, as childish as it was, is quite necessary in any life. Such pains are part of an interminable cycle and only generate balance in one's life (p. 62, 'Life as Suffering'). Despite my horrid time spent that evening, the laughter brought since the incident is a worthy tradeoff. Laughter is an all too necessary function of life, just as suffering and the wide range of other emotions. "Some thinkers would emphasize the importance of sophistication in humor, but others would say that laughter itself is what is important." Whatever the case may be, laughter is an important ingredient in life, and must not be taken for granted nor ignored. Despite such emotional ties to life, I have also learned that life is not only about emotions. Those emotions are generated from the chain reactions created endlessly in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay about the human brain In this paper one will learn the different parts of the brain and their functions. Although the brain isn't the largest organ of the human body it is the most complex and controlling organ. It is amazing how complicated the brain is. The brain controls every action within and out of your body. The brain has main areas that contain different areas that have specific functions. For instance the basal ganglia holds the lentiform and the caudate. The brain isn't just "THE BRAIN" it is actually a group of many parts. They help to inform the brain on the things going on with the human body. The brain is split in to two main parts, the left and the right hemisphere. The parietal lobe discriminates sensory. The occipital lobe is where visual interpretation takes place. Pons is a crossroad for nerves going up to the cortex, to the cerebellum and then down the spinal cord. The cortex is the outer gray area where thinking takes place. The olfactory cortex receives senses from the nose that it then sorts out. The area that identifies what we see by working out movements, colors, and shapes is the visual cortex. The area that receives taste senses is called gustatory cortex. The area responsible for analyzing data, performing memory functions, learning new information, forming thoughts, and making decisions is the cerebral cortex. The motor cortex is involved in muscle movement. The cerebellum is vital when carrying out complicated, skilled movements. It is much like a mini brain. • 7. Short Essays in The Great Cat Massacre by Darnton The Great Cat Massacre Although the title of this book strikes the reader as unusual it begins to make complete sense once it is read. This book is a series of short essays by Darnton. The second section, which is titled "Workers Revolt: The great Cat Massacre of the Rue Saint–SГ©rverin" brings the reader directly into the views of the working class during the 1700s in France. This style of writing allows situations to be viewed through the lens of those who are experiencing it, making for a more interesting read. The context of this portion of the book truly gives an in depth account of the emotions and conditions that peasants would meet with while being treated as inferior to even the animals by the masters. It can be said that Darnton included this portion of the book to show the customs of the French during this time as well as to be able to see the way that the working class lived. From the reading the working class was the base of society, doing the work for the noblemen and everyday citizens. In this section it involves a particular situation with two men that are apprentices in a noble house. Apprentices would learn their way into a position of a trade and gain their success this way. Unfortunately, theapprenticeship "program" was not the most enjoyable experience. These men were not allowed to sit at a table for meals, they had to sleep in freezing rooms that were dirty and horrid, and were forced to eat the food scraps that even the cats rejected. Others seek professional help for the majority of their lives in order to deal with a psychological disorder. After reading this chapter on Therapy, I learned that this was not always the case, and that the way our society views therapy, and the meaning of therapy, has changed dramatically of the years. I am still amazed that people thought that anything whatsoever could be solved by chiseling away at a person's head. The picture of the skull was extremely disturbing: I cannot even fathom how horrible it would have been to be a patient of such practices. Also one would think that after the first gaping hole in a person's head with no results, the chiseling would stop. However it is obvious by the number of holes in the skull that this was a procedure that was tried multiple times on one patient. Other than the trephined skull, I also found it unusual that bloodletting was such a common practice. It was particularly troubling to learn that it was used for treating mania, which is something I have experienced. All of the information on the different types of therapies has helped me to more fully understand psychology. This chapter is dedicated to explaining the current methods of treating people with psychological disorders in order to help them through a rough time in life. This chapter on therapy shows the side of psychology that is the result of the hard work of a multitude of psychologists and doctors. I would never get home at this rate. The same moment I decided to quicken my speed, a deer burst through the night. I screamed, stumbled and hit the ground with a loud thump. To use the word behave in common conversation, it is understood as to 'behave well'. As for the phrase 'to behave badly', it is understood immediately. Behavior is looked at in society as the way a person presents him or herself in a given situation. It is also related to the specialized sense of manners. Use of the noun to refer to public conduct or, in a moral sense, to a general range of activities is still quite common. It is often difficult to separate the meaning of bourgeois from the meaning used to describe historically distinct periods and phrases of social and cultural development. The bourgeois ideology of settled independent citizens is clearly not the same as the bourgeois ideology of the highly mobile agents of a para–national corporation. There are also some problems between bourgeois and capitalist, which are often used interchangeably but which are primarily distinguishable as social and economic terms. There can be difficulties of usage, associated with some of the most intense controversies of analysis, when the same word is used for the whole society in which one class is dominate and for a specific class within that whole society. Bureaucracy– Definition– the word Bureaucracy originated in English in the middle of the 1900's. The word bureau had its meaning of a writing desk with drawers. The American use of Bureaucracy has become more common, especially with references to foreign branches. As the word bureaucracy evolved, many different meanings have been taken to affect. The increasing scale of commercial organization, with a corresponding increase in government intervention and legal controls, and with the increasing importance of organized and professional central government, produced the political facts to which the new term pointed. There is always a time of the day where we just have a good laugh about something that happened throughout the day. I know my family will always be there for me and I will do the same for them. I believe that I am blessed to have such a loving, caring, and compassionate family. I believe when times are tough, my family is my true comfort. Even if it's the smallest thing like a headache or stomachache I feel better with just my mom doing anything for me to feel better. I don't need medicine to heal the smallest pains; all I need is my family's love. I've never looked at another family and thought, "wow they have an amazing relationship, i am jealous". Sometimes I do the opposite because I never had thought wrong about my family even when we're aggravated sometimes. I remember during the summer we would have a cookout every single Saturday and Sunday. We would all get together and have my dads "special asadas". Which are a special steak well done with allot of lime and spices. We would sit there for hours eating and having a beer. We would call close friends that we even call family. I believe there is no perfect life or perfect family. I believe my family will overcome anything that causes pain or misery. I believe that we are in full control of our own wellness, both Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Minecraft Essay Minecraft is a game where the player uses their imagination to shape the world around them using the resources they find. In the world everything is shaped like a block or a cube, this includes the trees, the dirt, the water, the clouds, even the sun, everything. This simple game hasn't even been released yet but has already sold over one million copies. Minecraft was created by one man, Markus "Notch" Persson, and this is his story. What makes the story of Minecraft so unique is that it was created by Notch and only Notch. Notch had a job before Minecraft, working on games for a company. He started to work on Minecraft in his free time but after a giant popularity spike he realized that it could be a hit, so he quit his job and began...show more content... The game sells around 10,000 copies per day. It has become a cultural phenomenon and on January 12, 2011 sales passed the one million mark, but they continued to rise. With popularity increasing, big name comics like "Penny Arcade" and "Hejibits" discovered the game too and published comic strips about minecraft, leading to even further sales. Minecraft makes $250,000 a day and continues to do so. On June 13, 2011, Minecraft passed 2.5 million sales. Today Mojang has 10 employees. Markus Persson, Jens Bergensten, Daniel Kaplan, Junkboy, Jakob Porser, Carl Manneh, Tobias Mollstam, Aron Neiminen, Daniel Frisk, and Daniel Rosenfeld. These few people make up the team that continues to work towards Minecraft's future. But with so few employees things take time. Even though the game has not been officially released, people who buy the game get a copy of what it is right now as the updates are being pushed out. With such success Mojang is the target of some heavy criticism from blogs, critics, and even their own fans. One speculation from fans is that Minecraft will be the company's 1 hit wonder. What happens if it truly is a one hit wonder? Will the company go down under? Will it be the end of Mojang? Will they join a publisher in order to stay afloat and lose their title of "indie?" Another speculation concerns Mojang's next game that has absolutely nothing to do with Minecraft, not even in the same genre. What if nobody likes the game? What Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Compare and Contrast Two Short Stories Compare and Contrast Two Short Stories–– Landlady by Roald Dahl and Chemistry by Graham Swift There are lots of great short stories out there, but in my opinion, both 'Chemistry' by Graham Swift and 'The Landlady' by Roald Dahl are two of the most unique and effective stories. They share both similarities and differences throughout. Comparing and contrasting the way the authors use their inimitable writing style to achieve their intentions in the story will give us more idea how these stories are alike and distinct. In a way, these two stories are similar because both the authors had carefully chosen the words ...show more content... In the beginning , Billy thought the landlady was 'terribly nice',which he was quite grateful to have such a nice landlady who give him a well–appointed service, but as the conversations go on, Billy was then frightened by her weird and creepy contents, he 'sat there staring straight ahead of him into the far corner of the room, biting his lower lip.' tells the readers that he's begin to frightened and suspect landlady, foreshadowing the readers that she might be doing something that couldn't be trusted by Billy. In another way, these two stories are different because the authors have been using different perspective when narrating the story. In 'Chemistry', author's written the story in the word of narrator, mixing both the perspective of adult and young boy's. Line" My father's death was a far less remote event than my grandfather's but no more explicable, I was only seven." can be a good example. Almost the whole story was written in past tense, added to the effect of recalling. He's shown a grown up man recalling memories when he was back in 7–10 years old. This kind of writing style makes readers felt more personal, because the subject is 'I', when reading out the story, readers will feel like they're experiencing the narrators' life, as if they are the narrator. Also, another interesting fact about this kind of writing style is that if I were to look at the same events in other character's perspective, it might be another whole different story because Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 15. My Greatest Fear My greatest fear is something that I ponder almost every night. I have a fear of several things: snakes, suffocating and the thought of being murdered. Nevertheless, these fears don't affect me like this one. The one that I consider to be my greatest resembles a sickness, something I haven't made sense of how to manage. The scariest part about it is I don't have an answer on how to face this fear. The fear of failure is the thing that I consider to be my greatest in life. I can say that all the goals I've set in my life and hope to achieve are due to this fear. It might be a helpful reason, but these milestones are accompanied by an increasing stress in my mental health. As the years have gone on and as I have started to move forward with my education, starting with high school, the weight has just mounted and the fear of failing has just expanded. The amount of time and effort it would take me to complete assignments and prepare for exams would have me thinking if I'll ever amount to anything. If it took me a little bit more time to comprehend something, I would think to myself "if it's taking this long for me to get something so simple, what will I do when I'm in college." The work I was putting in wasn't proportionate to the results being produced. I was doing well, but in my eyes, it didn't feel like enough. The constant reminders from my family didn't help either. My parents and older brother have always told me to work hard and that it won't be easy to make a good life Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. The Most Memorable Meal Essay The Most Memorable Meal As a food lover and adventurous eater, I've certainly eaten so many kinds of food from many countries around the world. And I have a lot of good and bad moments related to food. However, when you ask me about the most memorable meal that I have eaten in my life, perhaps the first thing that appears in my mind is my daddy's soup. It was 10 years ago, when I was just a little boy. At that time, my mom had so much work at her office and she just couldn't come back home until 9 p.m. In my family, my mom was the only one who could prepare food and cook. So when she called my dad and said that she couldn't come back home early to cook a meal for me and my father, we thought that we were having the biggest problem in...show more content... And I was so surprised about my dad's soup. All my thoughts about a great meal were taken down. The soup was not as delicious as it looked, it tasted so weird: at first, I felt it so salty, after a while, it tasted so spicy. After tasting the first sip, I looked at my dad and smiled. He just thought that he was successful with his soup until he tried his first sip. Then he knew how his soup was and he said "Sorry son, I tried my best, maybe we can wait for mom to come back home and cook dinner for us." As soon as he finished speaking, I took the spoon, continued eating the soup and smiled. I know the soup was not good, but it was from my dad, from all his love for me. I don't know if my dad knew what I was thinking or not, or maybe he thought that I was so hungry to eat everything even though it tasted too bad. My dad was so surprised about my act for a while, and he continued to eat the soup with me. We both had a great time together, eating and talking with each other about bad things, good things at work and school. After that, my mom finally came home. She looked so tired from her work, but she still smiled and looked at me and my dad while both of us were eating soup. She surely knew my dad made something for me and she slowly went forward to the table and started tasting the soup. After her tasting, not a single word, she hugged both of us with her slender arms and also with all her heart. This Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Greatest Invention Essays What is the greatest invention of all time? Throughout time there have been lots of new inventions which have both hindered and helped everyday life with humans. There are many different possible world's greatest inventions because they have all helped out humankind in some way, some more than others. I think that the greatest invention of all time is Harnessed Electricity. Some may argue that this was not an invention it was a discovery but although electricity itself was a discovery there was still the invention of had to use it and what it could be used for. I think that electricity is very important to human life because it would be nearly impossible to do anything we do today. If we didn't have electricity a lot of things would...show more content... I believe that the use of electricity in healthcare is more important than the use of penicillin because of the x–rays, MRI scans, life support machines, cat scans, ultrasound, surgery lighting, heart rate monitors, incubators and loads of other much needed specialist equipment. This equipment has over the years helped to save millions of lives and although penicillin helps to treat the odd few illnesses it doesn't help to run a well equipped hospital which saves even more lives with the billions of people who visit a hospital every year. Without electricity there would be no light and it would constantly be dark from around 4pm ever day. This would restrict most people from doing things because as soon as it was dark they would have to go to bed because there would be no lighting. Nobody could go out after dark as there would be no street lights on the roads and houses would have to be lit by candle light which wouldn't give of the strength of light that a light bulb does now. Yet again it would be exactly like living in the dark ages. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. A Love Story Essays I met her two years ago and we did not have much to say at that time. Little did I know that she would later steal my heart and become an intimate part of my life. As the saying goes "there is someone for anyone at any time in this life" and I was about to find out that this saying was so true. I have had a wall built around me and my defense was as a stronghold to protect myself from all the relationships that have come and gone over the years. I thought that I was meant to be alone in this old life and happiness was forever gone from me. Last night I dreamed that I was riding out on the open range and after around three hours just riding and enjoying the peace and quite of being away from everything I noticed a figure walking towards me. I was not worried but just curious as to who it may be. When I drew nearer I could tell it was a woman. I thought to myself why is she out here all alone and walking. This was horse country and there was nothing for miles around that she could walk too. When we finally came face to face I could see that she was crying and that tears were coming down and such a sad look on her face. I dismounted and asked if "I may be of any help? She began to cry all the much harder and tried to talk but her emotions had the best of her. I took a chance and put my arms around her and let her cry until there seemed to be no more tears in which she would be able to shed. When she did finally look at me her eyes were so sad and I took my hand and softly brushed away the tears flowing down her cheeks. I asked if there was anything I could do for her, and she said "no, I must handle this my way". "How are you going to handle anything out here all alone and crying the way you are"? • 19. My Best Day Essay : My Perfect Day Have you ever wondered what a perfect day would be like? An everyday routine starts to get annoying and boring, especially if you don't get a day off. At the moment, my routine is to wake up early, get ready for school, go to school, and after a long day come back home. From the time I get home which is around two in the afternoon and by the time I go to sleep, it all consists of doing homework. Now it was around ten at night and I had finished watching the Halloween series. I turned my tv off and started playing really loud music on my speaker. I knew it was nighttime and the neighbors might complain, but at the moment I didn't care about anything. I enjoy listening to depressing songs specially from Coldplay which gets me in the mood to cry. My eyes began to close so I turned my speaker off as well as the light and I went to sleep. At last, a perfect day for me should be different from any ordinary day, and should enjoy it like as if it was my last. I see a perfect day as not something outstanding, but more of like a lazy day.
