3. Project Profile
Business idea
Our product offers an alternative to generate energy from organic waste,
produced that would otherwise end in the city dump.
The gas generated would be used for cooking, (and in the future fuel for
dump trucks and cars) which would replace, in whole or in part, natural gas
or electricity.

All of the potential customers responded that they were willing to install such system, however they asked
if the amount of waste generated in the household would be enough to generate the necessary amount of
gas.
According to the interviews with the customers, we conclude that we can change the Customer Segment,
and broaden the target to residential communities, and we could add restaurants and industrial food
producers, which are major waste producers.
8. How much money are you willing to pay for such system?

The residential customers were found to be willing to pay, on average, between 250 - 500 USD for the biogas system.
The restaurant owner would be willing to pay on average, between 1.000- 2.000 USD.
According to the results, we have concluded that the customer segment for residential households can be economical and
technical feasible only if they are grouped together.
We also found that the customer segment for restaurants have great potential in both technical (high waste producers) and
economical (willingness to pay between 1.000 - 2.000 USD).
