1. After reading the MAS Case Project, the team
originally decided C++ would be a viable language to
create the application in
Midway through the project, the switch was made to
C# for its easy-to-use GUI design qualities
2. For the database backend, we used an Access
database from Microsoft Access 2010
The largest challenge during development was
the queries to the database to validate user
names and passwords
Validating sensors and their various attributes
was also a challenge
In order for the MAS application to run, Data
Connectivity Components must first be
installed
3. After the design for the application was laid
out, creating the various forms to perform all of
the Use Cases and other functionality became
the primary challenge
Using .PNG (Portable Network Graphic) image
files with transparent backgrounds, a
professional looking GUI was created that
utilizes tabs and other images to convey
information to the user effectively
