Vocational Rehabilitation:
Did you know that The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) was signed into legislation
in 1990 and its recent amendments (2008) cemented the forensic vocational expert’s
role in determining not only damages in employment law but for personal injury and
discrimination actions?
National Forensic Consultants has a Vocational Rehabilitation Expert who has 27 years
of professional experience integrating, supervising and providing rehabilitation
counseling services, conducting assessments, and determining wage loss due to injury.
Our expert’s experiences includes Workers’ Compensation, Auto No-Fault, Liability, Long

National Forensic Consultants has several experts available in this field, as well. Each of
our experts has 25+ years of experience. They are knowledgeable and experienced in

critical care, transport nursing, case management and consulting.

Maritime:
Did you know that the most common cause of vessel loss in 2013, and for the last 12
years for that matter, was foundering? Foundering, defined in the report as sinking or
submerging, actually accounted for almost three quarters (69 total or 73%) of all losses
in 2013, with bad weather as the significant driver. Source – http://gcaptain.com/five-
interesting-facts-about-maritime-losses-and-casualties-in-2013/
National Forensic Consultants has a maritime expert to assist with many types of losses
that involve all aspects of The Jones Act, Boating Regulations, Coast Guard Maritime
Safety Regulations, Subsea Well Capping Plans and Emergency Response Evaluations.
Our expert has 30+ years of experience including serving with the US Coast Guard as an
officer /commander which included many duties throughout the world, encompassing
law enforcement duties, leading maritime response and regulatory operations, flag
office of maritime operations and much more.
Energy Storage and Conversion Systems:
Did you know that at this moment you may be sitting a few hundred feet from an
energy storage system? Take a look out of a nearby window, and you may very well
spot an energy storage system. If not yet, then soon. These systems can be used
anywhere on the power grid, and new technology is ensuring these systems are safe so
that they can be used within urban areas – improving the reliability of local grids. As
electrical storage systems technology advances so does its complexity of what the
expert needs to understand when performing forensic investigation. Hiring the right
expert for your case is always important.
National Forensic Consultants has an expert with 14 years of experience in Mechanical
Engineering, specifically in the area of energy storage and conversion systems (batteries,
fuel cells, supercapacitors). Areas of this consultant’s expertise include transport
phenomena, design and diagnostics of electrochemical systems for energy and water
applications (batteries, fuel cells, supercapacitors etc.).

Biomechanics:
What is Biomechanics? Biomechanics is an applied science encompassing the disciplines
of both biology and mechanics. It specifically utilizes the laws of physics and concepts
relevant to both engineering and medicine to describe human motion and those forces
acting upon limbs, joints and vital organs. The science historically has provided valuable
applications in cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, orthopedic, industrial and
rehabilitative medicine, automotive medicine, sports medicine, and cellular mechanics,
injury mechanisms related to human acceleration and/or impact trauma, and sports
protective equipment. The science of biomechanics incorporates the combined
disciplines of human anatomy and physiology with basic mechanics, along with the
understanding of human motion to determine the causal relationship of applied
forces/accelerations and/or impacts on the nature and severity of physical injury.
National Forensic Consultants has a biomechanics expert who specializes in injury
mechanics and causation relating to impacts. Additional expertise includes orthopedic
and industrial biomechanics with specific expertise in analyzing injuries related to high-
and low-speed motor vehicle impacts; occupational injuries; lifting, pushing and pulling
injury; slip-trip & fall injuries and injuries related to sports and sports equipment. He also
has experience in providing biomechanical consultations in criminal courts on matters
pertaining to murder, manslaughter, child & elder abuse, assault, police brutality and
traumatic brain injury.
