Sports and Values
-To Foster values through the practice of sports.
-To make students reflect upon their values.
-To make students apply these values in other contexts.
PROCESS:
Students will choose a sport and they will have to figure out which values are implied in it.
Afterwards students will have to reflect about the application of those values when practicing this
sport.
Finally they will have to think about examples of those values outside of the sport context.
GUIDEANCE QUESTIONS:
Which is your favourite sport?
Can you think of some values present in this sport?
Do you practice that sport?
When you practice it do you respect those values?
Can you think of an example of those values outside of the sport context?
TASK:
Create a poster with images showing the specific situations in which those values can be
appreciated.
Afterwards students will have to write a paragraph expressing their own experiences when doing
that sport.
