THE NAVAJO TRIBE
By Brynn
TOOLS
The Navajo tribe had a lot of important tools to
help them hunt, farm, and even to make homes.
For example, they had bows to hunt dear and other
animals. Also, they used a type of net called a steel
to hunt fish. More over, to get the wool for the
blankets they used a sheer for it. To get bark and
fire wood they would have a wooden ax to break
wood off of tree.
ENEMIES AND STRUGGLES
The Navajo did not always have the sun out and I
mean they still had enemies and struggles. For example,
that once the government moved in there were forced to
move to unlikely places that they would not like. It started
in New Mexico and it ended March of 1839. Also, they
had a war because of this ,because they were tired of
moving. I mean wouldn't that be crazy if that happened to
you? Sadly the war killed several of the members of the
tribe.
LOCATION
The Navajo’s location is a all around the
world! Did you know, that they once lived in New
Mexico ! More over, once they came to Utah that
must have been a long walk. Last, they moved to
Colorado.
ROLES OF THE TRIBE MEMBERS
The Navajo tribe members like the moms and
the dads do a lot of work in every day gust see. The
moms made pots and blankes. The dads made the
jewelry. The boys would hunt with there dads they
would mostly hunt deer. Last, the girls would clean
and help the mom make the food and they would
play and ride horse.
JEWELRY AND CRAFTS
The Navajo tribes jewelry and crafts was very
famous. For example, they are famous for their
silver jewelry. Also, the Navajo tribe was known for
there blankets. Did you know? The women made
blankets and the pots and, the men made the
jewelry. Most importantly, they made these
bracelets called ketohs.
LANGUAGE
The Navajo speak Spanish and English. They
speak a hard language. They use USA English as a
code. For example, yah- tah- tay.
FOOD
The Navajo ate food here are some foods that
they ate. First, they ate corn . Then, they ate deer
but they had to cut it up. In addition, they ate sheep
all the time when it snowed. Next, they ate a lot of
