2. Key Shot 1
Cutaway shot of rain then immediate change to blurred light then sudden change to
blacked out shot gives the effect of suspense, giving the audience a feeling and makes
them think what is happening, Also making them think on why these shots before the
blacked screen were shown and maybe the revealing shot after the blacked shot will
reveal the story and unfold its details. What makes these shot more interesting is the
medium shot shown next. The shot before and after the blackout have different key
lightings. The first two shots being low key lighting and the shot after the blackout being
high key lighting.
These first shots make the scene sound dangerous and unsettling but with the sudden
change in lighting makes the scene safe this makes the audience question their
emotions.
This could inspire the main task as the opening shot happens ever so quickly to show

This wide shot gives the audience a greater sense on what is around the focusing
character, the man in black to whom the camera is following. . Making you ask the
question on why he is there and what is he doing. Also looking around the shot we can
tell that he’s in some run down place where not a lot of people go anymore.
4. Key Shot 3
This medium shot captures the facial expression of this man gazing at the flowers.
We can see that he is very saddened by looking at them possibly implying to the
plot of the story and this shot is somewhat after the certain events that take place
during the film.
With the man being placed behind the flowers, this makes the audience want to turn
their attention to them and wonder what they mean to this man and what they mean
to the plot of the film.
5. Key Shot 4
Here we find the use of shot reverse shot between the husband and wife as they
have a conversation. This shot is key as it allows us to be introduced to both the
characters who seem to have a great relevancy to the film. The casualness between
them shows the audience what their relationship is like.
6. Key Shot 5
Here in this close up shot we are focusing on the woman who is glued to her
computer screen. The blurred effect of the background movement allows the
audiences eyes to avert to the woman at the computer. The blurred also tells us that
anything happening in that shot at the moment is unimportant or will come into
someimportance in th enext shot.
7. Key Shot 6
This extreme close up shot is focusing solely on the ears of this man showing that he
is wearing earphones. This could emphasis that he want do drown out any
background noise and that he wants to be in his own personal bubble. This could also
imply that he is very anti social with everyone else in the workplace and that he likes
to keep to himself.
8. Key Shot 7
This wide shot pans across the whole of the landscape allowing the audience to get a
good glimpse on where the next scene is.
9. Key Shot 8
This very long shot captures a great amount of the audience as well as the key not
speaker. The audiences eyes are drawn however to the figure that is moving and
talking. This shot implys to the audience that this man is somewhat of importance as
there is a vast amount of people who have come just to see him explain his theories.
10. Key Shot 9
This low shot allows us to be the audience looking up at him while he does his talk.
This gives him a sort of importance and implys his influence towards everyone else
and that he has a greeter status that the people in the audience.
