2. For “Oedipus” we decided as a group that our BBFC rating
is going to be a 15. This is because it contains strong
language and sexual references. We have also considered
that people at this age enjoy psychological thrillers, and
sometimes enjoy elements that are related to the mind.
We were going to make the BBFC rating a 12, however our
research from our questionnaire results show that less of
the population were this age, but also because in our
thriller “Oedipus” it does contain sexual references
meaning it cannot be a 12.
3. As you can see from our research we discovered that more of our target
audience are males, so preferably males enjoy most likely want to
watch a film that included someone with a split personality, however
its still noticeable that there is still quite a large percentage of females
showing there interest as well as males. It may be bias towards men
however this is good for our thriller “Oedipus” because it shows that
we have a wide range of males and females.
4. These results show that more of our target audience were aged 16-19
so we took this information into account when choosing our BBFC
rating for “Oedipus”. We also discovered that this percentage of the
population were mostly class E from the demographics table. People
most commonly from this class are often to be , casual workers
widows and pensioners.
