1. George Charles Richardson, affectionately known as Beeda, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. George, a longtime resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, was born to Charles and Madeline Richardson in Sugarcreek, PA, on March 2, 1941. But it was the Utica area that George called home. He moved his family to San Mateo, CA, in 1982 and later retired to Newman, CA.

George is survived by Judi Cross, his companion for 24 years; her children, Wendie Busby (Roy), Edward Johnson (Cheri) and Beeda to Ashley, Ryan, Nikki, Dakota, Luke, Everly, Victoria and Liliana, his sister, Linda Finn, of Utica, NY; as well as three children, Robin Richardson Lindner (John), Stacey Murray (Vince) and Marc Richardson (Valerie); and four grandchildren, Brandon, Katie, Cole and Evan. In keeping with George’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held in his honor.
3. He enjoyed traveling. He especially enjoyed his trip to Australia. He loved Yosemite National Park and went there at every opportunity, he hiked to the top of Half Dome with Ed and with Roy. He also hiked to the top of Mt. Whitney and looked forward to his annual pilgrimage to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Beeda was an extra in several movies and TV shows. He enjoyed cake decorating for his family and extended family. Friends and family alike would agree that he will be sorely missed.
