This document outlines the requirements and grading criteria for a Zentangle Colors project. Students must create 4 Zentangle designs in their sketchbook, transfer one final design to 5 pages, and successfully execute different color schemes. They will be evaluated on composition/application of elements and principles, creative problem solving, application of materials and processes, and craftsmanship. The highest possible score is 53 points.

Composition/Application of Elements & Principles
Does the design and arrangement of your Zentangle work together to create a cohesive whole
abstract design? Is there emphasis on the appropriate areas? Does your eye flow effortlessly
through the piece? Does your piece appear cluttered or empty? Have you
used shape and color effectively to create an interesting composition?

Creative Problem Solving
Did you take the scope of the assignment and bring new and interesting thoughts and visual
imagery to it? Since you had to complete a Zentangle drawing then add specific color schemes
to it, were you successful in creating visually interesting drawings?
