2. PHASES TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL ACTIVITY
PHASE I STUDENTS ENCOUNTER THE PUZZLING SITUATION
Suppose a business have the following assets;
machinery, stock, building, cash in hand, goodwill, land, trade mark,
cash at bank, furniture.
How can we classify these asset into various group ?
PHASE II STUDENTS EXPLORT REACTION TO THE SITUATION Respond
In this situation ,teacher encourage students to respond freely. Differently
PHASE III STUDENTS EVALUATE STUDY TASK AND ORGANISE
The entire class divided into 4 groups and each group given a task.
Group A is provided with an activity card including the above mentioned assets and
asks them to identify the fixed assets that are used for long period.
Group B is engaged in identifying the current assets which are used for short period
of time. Group C is engaged in identifying the tangible assets which can be touched ,feel or
seen and Group D is identifying the intangible asset which are opposite of tangible asset.
PHASE IV INDEPENDENT AND GROUP STUDY
*Teacher facilitates for group process
*intervene the groups to channel its energy into potentially educative activity.
