SMART BOARD LESSON

This lesson will be for students’
 at the kindergarten grade level.
 The subject area is math and
 these student’s will be learning
 to identify coins by their name
 and value.

OVERVIEW
 This resource would be the starting point for our money
  lesson. Before the students’ are able to add money together
  like many of the other interactive resources show they need
  to be able to identify all the coins. This resource is a great
  beginner resource because it provides the children with a
  song to help them remember the name of the coin with its
  value. It also has many interactive activities that aid the
  children in recognizing the coin with its value. Before using
  this resource we would have had some practice with coins
  to familiarize the students’ with them. I would work this into
  one of my lessons once I believed the student’s had a
  general understanding of the coins and I believed that could
  achieve the activities. After they had mastered this I would
  use other resources found on the site to further their
  learning and understanding of money.
UNIVERSAL DESIGN
This resource supports Universal Design in
 the following ways:
   It provides multiple means of engagement, and action
    and expression because it is very interactive activity and
    it allows for the students to engage with the whole class.
   It provides multiple means of representation because it
    is a different way of looking at money, instead of having
    the coins in front of the students we now have them
    larger and on the screen.
