The wife of an employee of Indo Farm Equipment Ltd. wrote a letter appealing for action regarding unpaid expenses and salary owed to her husband since December 2009. She states that due to non-payment by the company, she has suffered financial hardship and had to sell her belongings. She threatens legal action under domestic violence laws if the company does not take action within a week to resolve the unpaid travel bills, salary, and subsistence allowance owed to her husband since he stopped receiving payments.

Dear Sir,
I would like to submit the following for your views and action:
1. I have to write this after listening to my spouse Mr HV Singh, who is in employment
with you since 6 Jul, 2009 at your Baddi office.
th
2. I have suffered from financial hardships from Dec-09 onwards due to reduction in
money paid to me by my spouse towards domestic expenses. And stopped paying me
from Jan-2010 totally. I had to sell out my belongings for survival.
3. I am writing this after detailed discussions with my spouse and I am fully convinced
that it is all because of Indo Farm Equipment Ltd (called IFEL hereafter)
4. TA Bills from Dec-09 to till date and salary from Jan-2010 to till date have not been
paid to Mr. HV Singh by IFEL.
5. I wonder even if IFEL has anything against Mr. HV Singh, and if so what about
provisions under clause 10-A of Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act-1946?
(At least subsistence allowance should have been paid in under suspension)
6. I will wait for one week from now and if no respite is seen, I would file a case under
Domestic Violence Act-2005 making IEFL a party to it.
Looking forward to a swift action from IFEL.
With Best Regards,
Suman Lata
