medications to the Patients. With almost 60,000 retail pharmacies in ESH’s network,
they offer comprehensive service across the United States.
Application Description
DUR & CBPS is a Mainframe application used for processing new Retail, Mail &
Direct claims. Claims processing and claims adjudication is the process of paying or
rejecting a member’s prescription drug claim. It is one of the most important
functions at ES Health. ES Health processes claims for three submission types: Home
Delivery, retail (card and direct).
Responsibilities
• Understanding end to end Business functionality, Analysis of Requirement
documents.
• Involved in writing the Test Plan, Test Scenarios, test scripts and reviewing.
• Worked in various applications ( Adjudication & DUR , Manual Claims , COB ,

Farmers handle both LIFE and NONLIFE sectors.
Renewals compare validation; Rate Factor Validation and Change compare
Validation. Analyzing and validating the rate impact on policies for all 41
functional states of Farmers Insurance Group.
Responsibilities  understanding requirements for each release from business and technical
documents and test planning
 Analysis of SRS and understand the scope of the project under validation
 Transition of Knowledge to team members and new joiners and preparing
effort estimates
 Rate factor Validation planning activities for the states that are affected due to
rate drops before the Release start depending on which Scope of Project
depends.
 Check for the validity of rates in both Production and release Environment.
 Prepare Checklist and Test Scenarios using Test case design template.
 Create test cases and review the test cases developed by the Team.
 Performing manual testing on the policies and validate for the proposed
changes.
 Analyzing the gaps in the premium changes with respect to discounts or other
factor changes.
 Defect tracking in Quality Centre Tool and tracking time and effort for this.
 Report the findings to the client and if required perform further analysis on
potential defects and finally make the required updates
 Worked on Mainframe validation using Mainframe Emulator PLUS and Citrix
Web Interface.
 Writing SQL queries in DB2 to extract valid data.
 Designing the scripts to be used on the mainframe emulator to automate the

 Navigation to CICS Screens and running DB2 queries for validation of Policies
online.
 Performing manual rating of policies through Rating Engines for authenticating
the correctness of the premiums.
 Report the issues encountered during the validation and verify the issues
which are commented by the onshore team.
 Report the defects and review them accordingly based on the status of the
defects
 Identify the environmental issues, legitimate issues and verify the policies
accordingly.
 Plan and coordinated with Onshore Team on timelines and deliverables.
