Ask most folks these days if they know what the CFR is and they'll probably ask if it's a network on cable TV.
Sadly, this is not the case. In fact amongst those who have studied it, the organization is considerably more far-reaching than that and decidedly more sinister to boot.
While C-Span focuses on Capitol Hill, it is this organization that comprises the invisible government and who truly determines our foreign policy.
You won't want to believe this, more than likely, but you will be shocked to learn just how provable this is.
3. How can we truly understand an incident in
our American past or present if we are
confined to the headline version, designed for
public consumption, in the interest of
protecting the powerful and the few?
4. “The world is
governed by very
different personages
from what is imagined
by those who are not
behind the scenes.”
Benjamin Disraeli
1844
5. “The real rulers
in Washington
are invisible,
and exercise
power from
behind the
scenes.”
Felix Frankfurter
U.S. Supreme Court
Justice
6. “The real menace of our republic is the
invisible government which, like a giant
octopus, sprawls its slimy length over our
city, state and nation. At the head is a
small group of banking houses generally
referred to as “international bankers.” This
little coterie of powerful international
bankers virtually run our government for
their own selfish ends.”
John F. Hylan
Mayor of New York City
March 26, 1922
7. “The real truth of
the matter is, as you
and I know, that a
financial element in
the large centers has
owned the
government ever
since the days of
Andrew Jackson…”
Franklin D. Roosevelt
November 21, 1933
8. “non-profit and non-partisan
membership organization dedicated to
improved understanding of American
foreign policy and international affairs.”
The CFR defines itself as:
9. The CFR has thousands of members by
invitation only and affiliates in more than 30
cities around the United States called
“Committees on Foreign Relations.”
10. The CFR was
founded in 1921
and is located in
the elegant Pratt
House at 58 East
68th Street in New
York City.
11. What is the CFR?
…a “front organization” for “the heart of the American
Establishment.”
Arthur Schlessinger, Jr.
“…the Establishment‟s unofficial club.”
David Halbertstam
“…the foreign-policy establishment of the U.S.”
Newsweek
“…a sort of Presidium for that part of the Establishment that guides
our destiny as a nation.”
Richard Rovere, Esquire Magazine
12. Admiral Chester Ward, former Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy wrote:
“Once the ruling members of the CFR have decided that the U.S. Government
should adopt a particular policy, the very substantial research facilities of CFR are
put to work to develop arguments, intellectual and emotional, to support the new
policy, and to confound and discredit, intellectually and politically, any opposition.”
Also, according to Admiral Ward, the CFR has as a goal
“submergence of U.S. sovereignty and national independence into an all-powerful
one-world government.”
He wrote that
“this lust to surrender the sovereignty and independence of the United States is
pervasive throughout most of the membership…”
And he added:
“In the entire CFR lexicon, there is no term of revulsion carrying a meaning so
deep as „America First.‟
13. Edith K. Roosevelt, 1961:
“What is the Establishment‟s view-point? Through
the Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy
administrations its ideology is constant: That the
best way to fight Communism is by a One World
Socialist state governed by “experts” like
themselves. The result has been policies which
favor the growth of the superstate, gradual
surrender of United States sovereignty to the
United Nations and a steady retreat in the face of
Communist aggression.”
