Managers Business Conference
Introduction
I have been asked by you to arrange travel and accommodation for your Conference in London’s
ExCel centre next month. I have created this report to show the research and arrangements that I
have completed.
I have researched the journey to London by car and train and also looked at 3 different hotels
close to the centre.
My findings are detailed in this report.
Work survey
I have conducted a survey with the office staff to find their preferred method of travel and these
results are shown in the survey and graph.
The preferred method of travel was by train.

Hotels
The three choices of hotels I have looked at for you to stay in while you attend the conference. I
will choose the most convenient one for you.
Underground ticket
As you can see from the above picture this is the cost for the London Underground for 1 day’s
travel which is £8.90. If you needed to use the underground for any day spent in London the cost
would be £8.90 *? days of the week.
Expenses
The company has a policy of giving an allowance of £100 per day to cover food and drink. The cost
of three days allowance would be 3* £100 = £300.

Summary
After considering both options travel wise to get London, I have chosen the train and I feel that
this would be a more relaxing and a quicker way to get to London.
The total cost for the return journey up to London on the train would be £92.20. Taking the car
would be the cheaper option (£47.52); parking could be expensive and add to the overall costs. So
I thought that using the train would be a lot more convenient and beneficial to you.
I have decided to choose the Ramada hotel and suites because I feel that it is more convenient as
it is only a 10 minute walk to the ExCel centre. I know that it is the most expensive hotel but it
saves you using the public transport which could come as extra cost to you.
As the hotel is within walking distance of the ExCel Centre the number of days you would need to
use the underground transport system is 2. Cost for two days travel is £17.80.
