Jules is a forty years old computer scientist. He speaks quickly and ideas
seems to spring easily from his mind.
He had worked in a building company for many years when he was
made redundant in 2008. Far from getting depressed, he decided to
pursue his vocation: computers.
He is currently working in an important company as a computer
scientist as well as studying to improve his career.
In this case the challenge is design a work-school-work transition.

- His studies at the university were far from real world.
- He did not find job related to his studies.
- After finishing his degree, he had to take several courses before getting a
proper job.
- After working for 10 years he realized that you became and expert in an area
but you do always the same, you are not allowed to innovate or do things in a
different way.
- You have to be satisfied with your work
- He says it is important to keep up to date.
- He tries to improve his skills to do better in his job.
- He wants to start his own business.
- It is important to know what other companies are doing in his field of work.
- Having a deep knowledge of your field is a great deal more important than
getting a diploma.
- He has short time to study after his working day.
- A project will not work if there is not a good team leader.

- The courses that he takes have to approach two or three ideas about a topic
because, he has no time or energy to commit to longer courses.

- He takes notes in this mobile phone about anything he hears o watches that
could be interesting for him.
- He is thinking about project to develop.
- Sometime he talk about his thoughts with his workmates.

- He thinks that companies are very close places to develop ideas.
- It is quite difficult to work 40 hours per week and try to keep up to date.

broaden your mind.

- Learning is a personal effort that you have to make alone.
- You learn from courses, people, companies, news, culture in general.
- It is important to contact to people to share ideas, interests, etc.
- He has little opportunities to meet different people.

- He has not enough time to concentrate to develop his ideas.
- He is studying a lot but he should take action and make real some
ideas of him.
- He is not afraid of changing his job or even his career.

those ideas.
