GitHub is a Web-based Git repository hosting service. It offers all of the distributed revision control and source code management (SCM) functionality of Git as well as adding its own features. Unlike Git, which is strictly a command-line tool, GitHub provides a Web-based graphical interface and desktop as well as mobile integration. It also provides access control and several collaboration features such as bug tracking, feature requests, task management, and wikis for every project.

git init
Create an empty Git repository or reinitialize an existing one on your local machine

14. git clone
create a working copy of a local repository

15. git status
Display the status of the Git repository. Lists what has changed in it.

16. git add
You can add the changes to Index tree

17. git rm
To remove changes from Index tree.

18. git commit –m
“Commit message”
Changes are committed to HEAD

19. git push origin master
Changes in local repository are pushed to remote repository on “master” branch

20. git pull
update your local repository to the newest commit in the remote repo
