3. SharePoint Online The Current Platform – BPOS Based on the 2007 platform Feature parity similar to WSS 3.0 Pretty weak… The NEW Platform – Office 365 Based on the 2010 platform ‘Small Business’ similar to Foundation 2010 ‘Enterprise’ similar to Server 2010

4. General Features SharePoint sites, webs, lists and general functionality Same security functionality NO BCS at release, but on the roadmap *Simple* public-facing site – Not SharePoint

6. Small Business Plan Up to 25 users Single site collection Great and inexpensive option for small companies that need a web presence with quality email/calendaring options and flexibility for growth I’m going to have a case study blog post or short series for a small business very soon

7. Small Business Plan A great option for someone that wants to learn the basics of SharePoint. Most functionality is very similar or exactly the same as what a user would see on a team site in their organization. Use it for self training or tinkering Use it for a family site 

8. Enterprise Plan Another option for small to medium or large organizations Multiple site collections My Sites *Some* Enterprise features Some plans include Office 2010 Professional Plus

Public-Facing Site Intended to be a simple public-facing solution, not a public-facing SharePoint site It’s *kind of* SharePoint-ish… Pages are stored in a document library, but it’s not the same as a SharePoint page OOB themes, layouts, colors, etc… May or may not be able to edit with SharePoint Designer
