           Consultation
• Consultation focussed on strands of diversity
- e.g. gender, faith, age
• Variety of different settings
- e.g. schools, residential homes, community events
• Different engagement delivery methods
- e.g. qwizdom, focus groups, questionnaires
AGE Consultation Results
     The top three problems stated by
       respondents (under 25’s) of the
            questionnaires were:

1st Anti-social behaviour
2nd Burglary
3rd Drug Dealers
Intergenerational Project
Aims and Objectives

• Consult on policing and crime and
  disorder issues
• Improve feeling of community safety
• Reduce fear of crime
• Challenge stereotypes which may exist
  between people of different generations
• Improve relationships between the community
  and the police
How?
• Young and older people of different generations
  from the same geographical area
• Community setting
• Safe environment
• Share experiences
• Learn from others
• Interactive day with fun exercises

• In small groups each person write a
  single word on a post-it note which
  describes the following groups…
Examples of what some people

- e.g. protect people, hard job, necessity, overworked, waste of time

• Hoodie
- e.g. trendy, misunderstood, comfy, chilled, disrespectful, criminals
• Older person
- e.g. nanna, mature, need help, wise, vulnerable, always ill
