Log Book
2. Camera
We involved camera shots such as close ups
whilst Simon was placing the wedding ring
on Lisa’s finger after making a sweet
proposal. This shows that they are
dedicated lovers and are in for a serious
relationship but there is more to be
revealed.
3. Editing
We used Premiere to bind our footage all
together and added fade to blacks which
represents flashbacks that Simon endures.
This creates suspicions for the audience as
Simon is hiding secrets from his wife which
as shown before, expressed his love to her in
a passionate way.
4. Sound
There is no diegetic sound throughout the footage
until the near end in which Lisa asks, “Where is
your ring?” and that shows the audience that she
may be slightly more wary towards Simon as the
rings are a symbol of love and long term
relationships.
However, we have included non-diegetic music to
add a sense of tension between the audience and
the film which builds up as we slowly reveal
Simon’s secret identity.
5. Mise En Scene
The wedding rings which are involved in the
film are used to present their love for each
other in the most meaningful way.
In the honeymoon scene, Simon is seen
laying rose petals on the bed as romantic
surprise for Lisa. The rose petals are a
symbol of romance which Simon uses to
express his love for his innocent wife, Lisa.
