High School Clicks Assignment
For this assignment we had to think of clicks from our high school as a stereotype and talk
about the specifics about those stereotypes. Specifics about those stereotypes are what we
would see or think that would make that stereotype. And we discussed why some people would
and would not fit in those clicks. My high school had a lot of different clicks a few being the
jocks, the nerds, the preps, the band geeks, and the rednecks. The specific things that we see
that would make people jocks are student who would be known as athletes. Athletes are
students who play a single sport like football or multiple sports. The specifics for nerds are
students who try to hard and then become overachievers and those who tend to know almost
everything. Stereotypes about nerds are that they would wear glasses with a pocket protector.
The specifics for the preps are mostly girls who think that they are better than everybody
because they have all the new stuff whether it be new clothes, shoes, or a new phone.
The specifics for the band geeks are the ones that would play a musical instrument therefore
knowing more about music than any other student. The specifics for the rednecks are the ones
who drive a big truck, hunt, most have beards, and always wear cowboy boots and jeans.
