Jenny and Brian are on a date at a drive-in movie theater on Halloween night. During the movie, a news report comes on warning about an escaped mental patient with a hook for a hand in the area. Jenny becomes frightened but Brian tries to reassure her. As the night progresses, Jenny keeps hearing and seeing strange noises and shadows, while Brian insists it's just the movie. Jenny demands they leave, and when Brian drops her off at home, he sees a bloody hook hanging from the car door.

JENNY Are you sure we shouldn’t just go home? BRIAN No, don’t worry we are fine. “The go back to making out for a few minutes when all of a sudden…” JENNY Brian! Did you just hear that noise? BRIAN It was just the movie. “They went back to kissing. Jenny pushed Brian away.” JENNY Stop Brian! BRIAN What? JENNY I am serious! BRIAN What Jenny? JENNY I thought I saw something move across the screen. BRIAN Jenny, you are just being paranoid. JENNY I am not being paranoid I really saw something! BRIAN Come on Jenny. If you didn’t want to come here to watch the movie or do anything, you could have just said so. JENNY Brian that is not what is bothering me. I really saw something like someone’s shadow move across the movie screen. BRIAN Stop worrying there a lot of people here, and it is just the movie scaring you. “Brian leans in for a kiss.” JENNY Brian, I am serious I want to leave. BRIAN Jenny, everything is fine.
