2. Why Support Human Rights?
• The whole of society will be stronger if we are empowered to realize
our own human rights and to stand up for the rights of others.
• Human rights are not simply about courts; they can be used in
practical ways to create a fairer more decent society.
• Collaboration and partnership working are fundamental to securing
our mission and vision.

3. The Universal Declaration
of Human Rights
• The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone
document in the history of human rights.
• Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural
backgrounds from all regions of the world.
• the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General
Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948.

4. Article 1
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
They have been given reason and conscience and should act
towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

5. Article 2
• Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms
without distinction of any kind, such as race, color,
gender, language, religion, political or other opinion,
national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

6. Article 3
• All are equal before the law and are entitled without any
discrimination to equal protection of the law.

7. Article 26
Everyone has the right to education.

8. Article 25
(2) Motherhood and childhood
are entitled to special care and
assistance. All children, whether
born in or out of wedlock, shall
enjoy the same social protection.

10. Solutions
The prime and most simple rule in this
field, as usually stated, is to take heed
of others’ rights and yours will be
taken care of, ultimately.
Every problem in today’s world is the
derivation of the violation of Human
Rights in different ways.
This is not such a case in which
committees can actually be the
solution. The conditions rise qualms
amongst the violators, that’s a sure a
thing, but mainly, this can only be
overcome when each person
takes up responsibility for
his/her own actions and
realizes that that he/she is
the change that can put
everything right. So be the
change you want to see in the
world.
