Warner Brothers Studios

• The Warner Brothers logo is so distinctive due to it’s
simplistic nature. The simple colour scheme used
and basic shape of the logo allow people to
recognise the logo at a moments glance.
• The gold colour used throughout the logo connotes
authority and power. It also shows wealth which
shows that the company owns lots of money. As you
can see, the shape of the logo is a shield, this
possibly shows that the company represents
protection in the world of film.
History of logo
• The original logo was nicknamed the “Brain Shield”. The top
half of the shield was a photograph of the original studio
building, the bottom half consisted of the ‘WB’ initials.
• The first signs of colour seen in the logo were in 1970. This
logo was very different to the one we all know today since it
didn't resemble the original logo in any aspect possible.
• Clouds were seen in the background of the logo in 98’.
There are now clouds in every logo to date, the clouds
possibly represent a high status.
