Open Letter – Call to Work
Dear Community Pillars, Activists, Leaders:
I greet you in the name of all that is good. As I enter the evening of my life, I deeply feel the impending
dark future looming in wait for our sons, brothers, fathers, and mates. As an old soldier I/we are now
witnessing egregious conditions that have not been so openly afflicted on our males in more than fifty
(50) years! I know you bear witness to:
1. Mass Incarceration in privatized prisons,
2. Ethnocide – killing of our culture via “diseducation”, religion, “entertainment”
3. Mass Poverty – no jobs, none in sight, and legal discouragement of entrepreneurship
4. Absence of wide-spread self-help advocacy from OUR community
5. Chemical Warfare – AIDS, Prostate Cancer, Mind-Altering Drugs for “ADD, ADHD, etc”
These are the most obvious onslaughts – hiding in plain sight. Their consequences are not hiding:
Suicide – 1000% increase, Mental Illness, Fratricide, - and all the symptoms of hopelessness – self-hate,
mentacide, religiosity, child abuse, addictions, and so much more.
Our History makes plain the solutions to our needs —Self Help Is the ONLY Way Out!
I CALL YOU NOW TO DO THIS GOOD WORK..
Establish a RIGHT EDUCATION PROJECT based on the principles of EDUCOS (uplift, inform, strengthen
thru enlightenment), and the teaching of Marcus Garvey to make money that we so much need.
