2. In my media I have done a magazine
example of a school magazine for the
practising of my real magazine for my
course work, this school magazine
involves all of the stuff a school would
like parents to know and students in
school to read and take an interest on
what’s going on in there school. My
school magazine that I have started is
called ‘High News’ simply because it’s a
school magazine for high school kids to
read and everyday news for parents.
3. My product is different to real media
products because not every magazine is
about school, and because real products
are about celebrities and famous people
were my magazine is about how kids and
young adults get on in life and how to
make their life better and not missing
out on any school activities or trips etc.
4. To create my school magazine I used
Photoshop and took pictures of some of
the girls in my class and a young girl
from weather head high school, my
contents page I used a programme
called QuarkXPress in the programme it
shows you all the out lines and makes all
your work be in good shape and staying
in line.
5. In my magazine the front cover has
four different colours to it to make it
effective and stand out purple, black,
blue and hot pink I choose these four
because purple, black and blue are the
three colours that mostly school use for
the uniform and hot pick is for the
writing to stand out.
6. The strengths of my product i would say
is the images, colour scheme and lay out
of the front cover because the images
show why I have took the picture and
they have something to do with what’s
going on in school. The lay out because
its a new magazine so I didn’t put the
girl in front of the magazine’s name
because it isn’t a well known magazine
and colour scheme because its effective
and stands out.
7. The weaknesses is the cover lines, sub
lines and lay out of the contents page
because the cover lines don’t seem to
stand out to the parents and children
and the sub lines don’t seem to stand
out and look more effective either.
The contents page is on a programme
called QuarkXPress I don't think my
contents page has a strength because
the technologies I didn't no how to use
it and it was confusing to figure out.
